Will check battery later, only had a trickle charger to be honest and needed to use the car so took it off, use multimeter later see if it's dropped much off 11.59v,

Checked alternator engine running 14.38volts, checked battery with engine off had 11.59volts, engine running 13.39 volts, leave now couple of days park in same place but security light disconnected, hopefully battery will hold charge, dd

Well to start with I disabled security light, to see if still happens, when it stops raining I will be checking alternator, battery, where is the resistor located, another problem don't know if its related but the display screen doesn't always display only getting the land rover emblem and orange light flashing on the audio button,dd

Hi all, range rover l322 td6 diesel auto 06, have a battery drain problem, wondering if it could be related to our new security sensor light we put on the house, seems a coincidence problem started few days after fitting it, now battery dead every couple of days, dd

Hi all, few weeks ago drivers side window would work intermittently, other night out for a meal, driving along and both front windows went down on there own, parked up and could take them back up, but not while driving, this has happened a few time since but now they won't go up, recently moved to new house and wondering if something is triggering the rf antenna waking becm and draining battery, could I unplug this, and where is it, BTW last night car locked windows down, we heard the car electrics trigger something like when you lock car with fob, but the key was in the house, any ideas, forecast rain for a few days but can't close the windows, just put meter on battery only got 11.91 volts, so put charger on,dd

Hi, tried a pressure test with a brand new tester and needle didn't even move, from video doesn't look like there is any pressure, took fuel pipe off before the filter done the same test and just a steady flow into bottle, I would have thought it would gush out, took pump out but it's clean as a whistle,dd

Hi all, this morning went to start range, full battery click click turned out to be starter motor, anyways when I got it cranking no start plugs were dry, guessing no fuel, took fuel pipe off in engine and doesn't seem to be any fuel pressure its flowing but no pressure, attached a video your opinions please, dd

Hi all, is kick down cable the correct term for it, as I can't find anything in the haines for it, I need to know the correct way to adjust it, as the truck gets to 2000 revs then goes flat and struggles up hills, just trying things atm, its a range rover classic 3.5 v8 auto 1988/89, dd

Hi all, come to move the range rover tonight in the dark, probably the first time since I rebuilt her, I noticed when gear selector in gear weather it be N D P R, if they light up bright as they should I have no gear, but if its half n half dim like its OK something is out of line I presume, anyone have any solution for this, dd

Hi all, had this problem for few weeks, intermittent no start no crank, had all light working on dash everything working normal, but no crank when turning the key, so I decide to look deeper and stripped console down to investigate, thinking it has to be ignition barrel, hour later ignition barrel out on the bench. This is how I got there, hope it works out,
Pull panel off both sides, be careful there's a screw tucked up the top at the back,
Here it is,
Undo this screw both sides, then squeeze gear lever gaitor and pull it up, then lift plastic surround out, careful there's four connector blocks underneath unplug then, you can't mix them up they have there own home,under this you will see eight screw with torx heads they are in pairs remove them,
There's also two tucked away under the trim took me 10minutes to find them,once you done these you should be able to lift the main console, a bit fiddly I know,
Hidden screws under here pull it up carefully can just get to them, then lift console up, be of a struggle getting it over the gear lever,you will see the screws holding the ignition barrel in Undo these and remove barrel, cable to solenoid with white housing push and twist like a light bulb, plug on harness has a clip which slides out similar to a cotta pin on a bike pedal, disconnect electrical plugs, again all have there own home so can't mix them up, once you have ignition barrel on the bench trick stuff starts but it's easy take your time and take photos if necessary,

On the ignition barrel there's two grub screws,take them out and pull the base out,don't lose the screws put them back in for thetime being, with a very small flat end screwdriver you can separate the casing, the one you've pulled off,once separated you should see this
The White peice acts like a camshaft, you turn key it turns the shaft which has fins on, when it rotates fins come in contact with the copper contacts seperating when touched closed when released, now the problem was, one of the contact was corroded,
In my case, it was the first one, all others were OK, but I cleaned them all gentle and then sprayed with contact cleaner, allowed to dry, all done, now putting it back to gether, there's a spring on the mouth where the pin from the ignition fits, just be care not to dislodge it, I had no problems at all, put everything back in reverse order, since the fix range rover started first time everytime good luck,

Marvellous, while still waiting for v5 after seven weeks, the lady has found the original logbook for the 1963 super deluxe mini mk1, it says previous owners, none, so he must have had it from new, dd

Well, while on holiday this guy purchased a mini pick up fibreglass shell, from my son, surely this load is illegal, he had a 3hr drive to do,

Daughter had one, but having a new born wasn't practical it was her first car, she was genuinely upset when it went, but needed a four door,dd

Now have 11.77v so alternator must have put some charge in battery,couple of days ago would have been flat by now, so it's a good chance it was the security light waking becm up, I will keep an eye on it, dd
