  1. The TD5 interior light(s) are controlled by the 10AS unit.
  2. The TD5 temp. sender uses a 2-way Junior Power Timer connector. The type used by Land Rover isn't readily available - however, this type will fit - The TD5 temp. sender will not work without the TD5 ECM This is how it works - "The Engine Control Module (ECM) (C0658) provides a 5 V feed to the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor (C0169) on a KG wire. As coolant temperature increases, the resistance of the sensor decreases. By measuring the resistance of the sensor on a KB wire, the ECM can determine ECT. The ECM (C0658) then provides a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) ECT signal to the gauge on a GU then LGU wire*. The gauge (C1052) is earthed on a B wire" * - This is via the TD5's VDO speedo. To use the TD5 temp. gauge with a 200Tdi engine, see Retroanaconda's technical blog - http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/2009/10/installing-defender-td5-gauges-into-a-200tdi300tdi/
  3. The speedo transducer uses an Econoseal 070 3-way female connector - The terminals are 0.70" (inches), which equates to 1.8mm.
  4. The proper connector YPC10132 is not something that I've ever seen anywhere else - The connecting post on the sensor is shown as a 4mm terminal. Retroanaconda used one of the pre-insulated female bullets on his TD5 instrument pack conversion - http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/2009/10/installing-defender-td5-gauges-into-a-200tdi300tdi/ https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/88114-rv8-temp-gauge-sender/ Personally, I'd use one like this - https://www.autosparks.co.uk/electrical-components/bullets-connector-sleeves/4mm-female-bullet-cover-pack-of-10
  5. The 2-way Econoseal is not currently on my website - https://landrover-connectors.co.uk/ - or my eBay shop - https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/landroverconnectors But, I can supply them for £2.75 + P&P What wires do you want? - gauge, colour(s), length - I have quite a lot. If it's for the reversing light connector - I have both Green/Yellow and Green/Brown thinwall cable - but, only in 1.0mm² .
  6. Thanks Ralph It's a 2-way female Econoseal - Available from numerous suppliers (including me 😀 ) .
  7. I've got them from various manufacturers - TE (AMP), Rennsteig, Pressmaster, Hozan, Hero, Engineer, Iwiss, Durite, etc... I've also bought quite a few from AliExpress (which is where the yellow handled ones for open-barrel copper lugs came from) The first one I pictured is a Durite 0-703-50 - available from numerous sellers. Here are some links to AliExpress for the copper lug crimpers - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001251385556.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001907184837.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000283523527.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32846061927.html There are lots of other suppliers on AliExpress for these. .
  8. For open-barrel splice crimps, in the sizes you quote, I use the conductor die on this type of terminal crimper - On most tools of this type, the conductor crimp die is 6mm long. For larger splice crimps, I use tools designed for open-barrel copper lugs -
  9. You only need a hole large enough to clear the removeable bulb holder - If you're fitting them to a vehicle that already has the 73mm lamps with removeable bulb holders - the bulb holders are the same, and the existing holes can be used. There are Genuine plinths that facilitate this conversion, see Martin's post here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72943.html If you're fitting them to an earlier vehicle with the 73mm lamps with wire tails and bullet terminals, the centre hole will need to be enlarged to 45mm and, possibly, not on the same centre. There are plinths that allow you to retain the existing centres, see here - https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/22745-nas-lights/ A much neater way to enlarge the holes (especially if moving the lamp's centre), is to use a Q-Max hole punch - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134422886398 .
  10. My eBay shop for connectors is still up and going strong - https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/landroverconnectors But, the Genuine 12N Towing Kit that I sold back in 2014, was a 'one-off' that I sold on my personal account. I'd picked it up cheap at one of the summer shows, intending to fit it to my 110 - but, at the time, I couldn't get the 9-way Sumitomo connector for the vehicle loom, so decided to sell it. The Genuine Land Rover 12N Kit LR005920 is worth the extra few pounds (see my comparison pictures in my earlier post) - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-LR005920 Be careful where you buy it from, as the 'OEM' kit uses the same part number, and some suppliers seem to think that 'OEM' is 'Genuine' 😒 .
  11. Thanks Ralph. It's not one I immediately recognise - AFAIK, it's not from a Land Rover. Do you know what vehicle it's from? That would help in finding the right connector. .
  12. That looks like YYC10294L Not cheap, at nearly 4 quid each 😬 https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-YYC10294L .
  13. 10AS connectors - Green 12-way uses AMP Multilock 070 Grey Hybrid 26-way uses AMP Multilock 070 (x 10), and AMP Multilock 040 (x 16) AMP Multilock 070 For 1.0mm² cable, the conductor and insultation are initially crimped using the 2.4L dies (the 'wings' for the insulation crimp, will first need to be squeezed together slightly) Then both crimped down, using the 2.0L dies. AMP Multilock 040 These terminals are suitable for a maximum cable size of 0.5mm² For best results, I crimp them in stages - Stage 1 - crimp the conductor, using 1.7L Stage 2 - crimp the conductor, using 1.4 Stage 3 - crimp the insulation, using 2.4L Stage 4 - crimp the insulation, using 2.0L Stage 5 - crimp the insulation, using 1.7L It sounds a bit of a 'faff' - but, you soon get the hang of it. Sumitomo 090 20-way headers (unsealed) Front doors, electric windows (2-way sealed) Tail door, central locking (2-way sealed), HRW, RWW, HLBL (6-way sealed) Unsealed Sumitomo 090 terminals are crimped using the same dies as for the AMP Multilock 070 terminals. Sealed Sumitomo 090 terminals are crimped the same as the unsealed terminals for the conductor, but have an 'O' crimp around the wire seal, using the Ø4.0 dies. The front doors and rear side doors central locking, use AMP sealed MQS connectors These are crimped using the 1.7H dies for the conductor (0.75mm² and 0.5mm² cable) - and, for 0.5mm² cable, crimped down further using the 1.4 dies. The wire seal is crimped to the terminal, using the Ø2.5 dies to peform an 'O' crimp. The AMP SuperSeal terminals are slightly small than the AMP Multilock 070 terminals, but the conductor crimps are a similar size. The wire seal is crimped to the terminal, using the Ø4.0 dies to peform an 'O' crimp. The central locking actuator connectors (YPC500140) are Yazaki/KET SSD 050 The conductor is crimped, first with the 1.7H dies, then crimped down further using the 1.4 dies (for 0.5mm² cable). The wire seal is crimped to the terminal, using the Ø2.5 dies to peform an 'O' crimp - ensuring that the oval shaped seal is orientated correctly to fit the cavity in the housing. Once the terminals/seals have been inserted, the horse-shoe shaped retainer is clipped into the rear of the housing. AMP Econoseal 070 These terminals are the same size and shape as AMP Multilock 070 - the conductor should be crimped in the same way. The wire seal is crimped to the terminal, using the Ø4.0 dies to peform an 'O' crimp. .
  14. I can't help with the connector pinouts, as my L322 wiring diagrams only cover the earlier models. The 8-way grey connector is a TE (AMP) GET.64 System male connector. The mating female connector - is TE part number 0-1411168-1 (which I don't have) However, you can request a sample from TE, here - https://www.te.com/usa-en/product-1411168-1.html Terminals to fit 0-1411168-1 - are TE part number 1393366-1 (which I do have) - or, samples can be requested, here - https://www.te.com/usa-en/product-1393366-1.html The 3-way black connector is a TE (AMP) MQS connector, and looks to be the same as the one used for the TD5 Defender time clock. I have these -
  15. https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/100539-red-bison-heated-screen-kit/ .
  16. For adding central locking - The rear (cable entry) of the connectors are shown. Additional slave doors are connected to the pink and orange splices. .
  17. Delphi Weather-Pack - https://www.simtekuk.co.uk/product.php/4_way_delphi_female_connector/?k=:::2362029 .
  18. I've found a male/female kit on ebay, utilising the grey version of the female connector (which I believe is the same as the black version, as they both mate with the male connector 15363993 ) Genuine DELPHI 2 Way Metri-Pack Sealed 630 Series 46 AMP Automotive Connector The terminals and seals are only suitable for up to 2.0mm² cable (I'm sure that the seals can 'encouraged' to fit on to 4.5mm² cable, using a little lube 🤨 ) The kit is listed by 3waycomponents - contact them, Sean is very helpful, I'm sure that he'll sell you whatever bits from that kit that you need. RS do sell the correct terminals, in a pack of 20, here - https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/automotive-connector-terminals/8961912 .
  19. The terminals that RS link to, are not for that Metri-Pack 630 connector, they're for the 'Pull-to-Seat' connector version of the Metri-Pack 630. On the 'Pull-to-Seat' connectors, the wires are first fed through the back of the connector, through a flat 2-way grommet, then the terminals are crimped to the wire ends, and the wires pulled back to the connector to seat the terminals. The correct terminals for the 'normal' Metri-Pack 630 connectors, are the following - And the seals - .
  20. It's not something that I have. The connector body can be bought singly from RS or Farnell. The terminals can be bought in 10's from Farnell The seals can bought singly from Deytrade in Germany, or in 10's from TME The TPA can be bought in 10's from TME, or in 100's from RS I can't find anyone selling a kit. .
  21. I'm pretty sure that it's a Delphi (now Aptiv) Metri-Pack 630 2-way sealed connector. Part number - 10737825 You'll also need - Terminals 5.0mm² - 12052456 Seals (Blue, 4.0 - 6.0mm² cable) - 15324996 Secondary Lock (TPA) - 12147060 .
  22. I have ADU8885, they are £1.95 each, supplied with 2 x AMP 'PosiLock' terminals to suit 0.5 - 1.0mm² cable (I can supply them with terminals for larger gauge cable if required). 1st class P&P is £1.65 for any quantity. FYI - Defender (300Tdi - TD5) AirCon Fan Switch Connector (C0848) is a yellow version of ADU8885 Defender (300Tdi - TD5) AirCon Clutch Switch Connector (C0847) is a green version of ADU8885 .
