  1. Hi all, just a quick question, I have a tube of Tetrosyl PU7 Polyurethane adhesive/ sealer. Would that be ok to use on the mating surfaces of the bolt on disco panels?
  2. Well I spent the afternoon trying to get the side panel off and whilst the vertical seal and the one under the window came away I couldn't get the one at the top to come apart and I just ended up distorting the inner skin so I gave it up as a bad job, put it back together roughly and I will chuck it on ebay tomorrow cheap for spares/repairs just to get it out of the way!!
  3. Hi all, I decided to repair and chuck the disco in for another mot weather I buy the td5 or not and I ordered all the parts from paddock: Exhaust L/H splash panel R/H splash panel L/H splash panel stay R/H splash panel stay Front pads Front mudflaps Rear mudflaps Rear shocker top bushes ..... all for £124 which I thought was pretty good, so I've stripped the rear out and the boot floor is pretty damn good which shocked me but the tinworm has had a party on the inner arches where the rubber sealing strip fits! and i'm struggling to get in to work on it properly. I'm thinking the rear quarters are going to have to come off to make life easier and to save me shredding my knuckles and bending them off in a paddy lol!! Can anyone tell me how to remove them and how bad they are to remove please?
  4. Am I right in thinking the rear inner arches are the same as Rangie Classic ones?
  5. Thanks for your replies, I think it's a bit beyond a patch with where it is hence looking at the replacement panel! I've looked at prices to see what discos are fetching and as you say not much, which is why I was also thinking about breaaking it, it's an auto with a decent engine that's done less than 120k!
  6. Hi all Newbe here! My 97 300 series failed it's MOT the other day and now the snows gone and I can see it again i'm going to have to make a decision on repair/ sell/ break! O/S rear inner arch corroded N/S rear top shocker bush O/S rear top shocker bush front to rear brake pipe Exhaust middle box handbrake advisory: front pads O/S wheel bearing play O/S rear mudflap panel corroded oil leak It's not a huge list as you can see but it's due a service and timing belt too and the tax is now out, so i'm undecided if i'm going to repair/ break/ sell, mainly because I have so much on at the minute I don't know if I can spare the time to sort it! I have my eye on a TD5 so I don't know if I should just rid this and go for that instead! Anyway if I decide to repair it the question is, what are the rear inner arches like to replace? where is best to get them from? I looked round online but not many places doing them, they seem to be around the £40 mark does that seem reasonable? Many thanks
