  1. HI Everyone Been having problems again with my indicators. Basically my indicator 10amp fuse keeps blowing, I have now isolated it to the left hand indicators, the fuse blows when I indicate left only but the problem is intermittent (there is no regular pattern - only when driving - not stationary). I have replaced left hand side bulbs and lamp fightings, took the outer wing off and checked the wiring (wiggle test and visual inspection), also looked at wiring from bulkhead to back right (wiggle test) and nothing. Also changed trailer socket. The strange thing is when it does blow the fuse and if you then switch the hazards on they work and don't blow their seperate fuse. Has anyone else had this problem before?, I think it must be indicator stalk or hazard switch, as if it was the wiring to the bulbs then surely the hazard fuse would blow as well. The only thing I found which was strange was that if you disconnect earth fron front left indicator (and sidelight) it still works (grounding via screw holding the lamp in) - it is the same on the right so i assume is normal for land rovers. Sorry for the long winded post just is now extremely annoying and can't take the old girl out anymore. Thanks Andrew
  2. HI, I think i have come to the right spot, any way I have a major electrical problem. I have a 200tdi land rover defender Firstly the answer to this could be "how long is a piece of string??" Problem The fuse for the dashboard lights/indicator/stop tail keeps blowing, it is rated at 10amps. thus if blown no indicator or stop lights work which equals a big problem. There is no continuity to when it goes, i have tried with the indicator on etc nothing happens, all lights on etc and nothing happens, then if you drive for 10 metres with no lights on then it can blow. Then replace straight away and blows again, then replace again and is fine. I did have a problem with the fuel gauge where the light bulb blew and melted the gauge but I have replaced the gauge and corresponding bulb and it still hasnt fixed the fuse problem but gauge is fine. I have had the fuse box apart and nothing was seen. I have had the dashboard off and where do you start? Of what i could see nothing looked exposed etc. Therefore I was wondering if anyone has had any similar problems with their land rover or could help point me in the right direction!! Many Thanks Vinylman23
  3. HI, I am hoping some one may have the land rover part number for a genuine auxiliary light switch for my defender 200 tdi so I can hook up my light bar. Or some where I can get a switch that will fit into my existing hole in my switch panel on the right hand side of the dash. Many Thanks Andrew
