  1. Needing some help chaps drove my Freelander 1 2005 TD4 today and just as I was away to pull away from the roundabout the clutch pedal sprung up. Cars still driving fine and their is no clutch slippage at all. Looked underneath the footwell pedals cant see anything damaged or broken. Found the clutch pedal rests on a black switch which I presume is the clutch switch. I think this is broken because if I push the switch up and hold it the clutch pedal rests at normal position. If I let go of it the pedal springs up. There seems to be some sort of sliding mechanism within the clutch switch which has failed. Can anyone shed some light on this if I am correct and even provide me with a replacment part number? Cheers folks as I need the freelee for the snow which is just around the corner ;-)
  2. Rivnut tool job! Buy a proper branded one such as sealey! Cheap eBay jobs are carp
  3. Tbh mate its just my opinion. I wouldnt say youve screwed up as you havnt botched the bumper up! I would tho spray the 2 silver ones matt black. Did you spray them silver? As they are a good colour match. Oh and base spec Land Rovers are alway voted best buy by which car magazine if buying new as it has the standard kit without playing a silly amount for added luxuries. The Disco 4 GS was voted best buy just a few weeks back, so dont go around under selling your car! All your really missing looks wise it the bigger rims and fog lights. Not much tbh. Interior wise all you need is leather.... then again you dont need any of these as the are just extra luxuries
  4. Afternoon chaps I am strongly thinking about buying two sets of these lamps for the D2 and FL1. Fed up of cheaper lights letting in moisture which leads to the leneses rusting etc. Question is tho how good are they? It is really you pay for what you get? Been told that these were made by Warn for Land Rover. Can those who have the lights fitted take a snap and upload it showing the conditon of them? Not wanting to fork out this much of them if they are just cheap overpriced lamps..... Much appreciated Thanks
  5. Why didnt you just buy the all black set and postion them in the same area as the genuine ones? That way you cannot tell they are after market and look neater all in one line......
  6. Agree with all the above comments was surprised myself late registered D2 Landmark!! Think as it was a D2 they've thought it's a right off due to the age of the car. Heard allot about cars 6years old now getting scrapped. Mind you a new front bumper, pair of wings, headlights, bonnet, radiator, front crush panel would cost the insurance £££££££'s from Land Rover. This is all the stuff that I can visibly see what about the damage underneath to the vehicle? Surely air bags would have popped also......rear doors need re painting oh and so would all the other replacement parts. Dunno how it crashed that way through a barrier as the road seems to flow other way. Least the owner and no pedestrian was hurt tho (y)
  7. Thanks Bowie69 (y) deffo off the wish list now! Thanks
  8. Thinking of getting a performance filter for the hippo. The one that you keep for life more or less and have to clean. Question is does it make your car breath better? Anyone noticed the results? What would you clean the filter with..... Thanks folks
  9. Black Landmark first registered 19/05/04.
  10. Hi Western I have did a search and come across the older mark 1 freelander with kits on! For my part number you get a library pic! Want to actually see some close up shots and have some feedback as how these kits look like after a few year plus of use. They' are only bonded by the 3M tape they are supplied with and you have to use tiger seal. If would be nice to know how strong the stuff is or if the kits are coming away from the body panels etc. Thanks
  11. Right having had my brand new genuine 5door bodykit lying around for nearly 2 years now I'm going to finally fit it to the car. Not seen any 5 doors at all with them. Mines the facelifted model. Do anyone having pics of theirs to show what it looks like? Also anyone's kit starting to come apart from the body? Also do the old arches come off ? Anyone fitted kit themselves? Sorry for the questions .... Any help views appreciated can't seem to find much when doing google search and instructions are still sealed as kit would have been sold if the right offer was made. Knowing land rover the instructions will be useless anyway LOL Ta

  16. check this link out on landyzone!!!! http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/nice-lr-bull-bar-04-refresh-legal-122480.html Below is my freebie opted for the stainless steel A bar! If their was a genuine wraparound stainless steel one I would have opted for that! Got a rubber type black A Frame behind the A Bar! Looks quite good! Cant beat a metal bar! Got a stainless steel wraparound one on the Disco 2 facelift! My dealer could source me a nylon coated one for the hippo but I was put off by the fact the after a few years the nylon coating splits and water seeps in ruining the finish! http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=79216

  18. Hi guys thanks for the input I have an egr bypass fitted. Is this still normal? Like I said never heard it before and have had the bypass fitted 9 months ago.
  19. Evening chaps! Has anyone used tyre pressure valve caps? My D2 has 22ich wheels and they are a nightmare for losing air! Speed bumps/potholes dont help. Am thinking by getting these caps I'll know which tyre has lost air.....etc. many thanks
  20. Just started hearing an electrical whinning noise (best way to descibe it) when the car is turned off. Moslty when engine has been warm. Its a mix between a slight whine and buzzing noise last about 7 seconds and always fades out. It is like something is settling down in the engine. Had the hippo from new td4 £30k on clock now, no FBH fitted. Never had this before..... thanks in advance
  21. Agree with Western! Look at the bulbs through the lense does it look like this........I have yet to see a spotlight bulb which isnt an H3! Very clean hippo you have CJ1
