I thought I'd treat myself to a new series 3 landrover last weekend, with 5bearing engine, overdrive, felt like a prince on the road...that was saturday. - sunday I thought I take my missus out for a ride, drove down to the petrol station, filled up with petrol, and on the way back saw a very big patch of oil on the forecourt! from what I could see, it was leaking out of a hole in the flywheel housing at the front - question is: is there a drainplug there? Because I never had a car with a flywheel housing with oil in, or is this a landrover thing? And if anybody has any ideas of what the problem could be: PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

I'd like to buy myself an overdrive for my landrover series 3 but haven't got a clue about fitting it. Is it an easy job, is there anything I've got to be careful about? would a second hand one be alright or should I buy a new one (if it's possible to get a new one at all)? thanks

Hi, I've got a 1975 series 3 Land Rover 88 with standard hubs at the front and would like to fit freewheeling hubs. Which are the best make and is there any problems fitting them and where would I find fitting instructions for them? I hope somebody could help me, thanks, Chris
