  1. I must admit that I cut mine out and then rebuilt that part of the chassis, some 30+ years of rust held like a good'n.
  2. Hi All, Finally got the bulkhead on an in the correct position, much shimming required. now the next part of the rebuild is how to route the brake pipes for the front axel, rear is quite easy. I can see how they are meant to attach to the flexible hoses. but where the battery holder is mounted on the chassis is a bit busy. Oh and the old chassis had a bodge job done on the pipes so I can not use that as a guide . Thanks all.
  3. Thanks for that, I think it is the same Webber carb, this engine didn't come with a fuel pump, The 90 had an electric pump also there are some pipes I don't recognise and what are all these electrical wires, the old Zentih didn't have anything like these. On the up side I've almost finished the welding on the bulkhead, new 'A' post and bottom bracket, both foot wells and a portion of the dash area. On wards and upwards with the replacement chassis job :-) On the down side my mouse has just broken :-(
  4. I forgot to mention the old cab is shot, rebuilt it twice with new jets and seals, including the "O" ring but it will always run rich, it looks more like I'm laying down a smoke screen or I should be in the Red Arrows. What I would like to do is some how keep the, relatively, new carb as it should work better, but connect it into the old air filter.
  5. Hi all, new to this forum so bear with me please. Just attempting to fit a 5 bearing 2.25 l petrol from a 90" to my 1974 2.25 l petrol engined 88". Two problems so far, not bothering with the fuel pump yet, the exhaust is a different fitting and the air intake to the carb is pointing towards the near side front wheel, the Zenith was of course direct feed into the top. Any ideas if there are any parts for converting the Webber to take the "standard" SIII air fittings and what to do with the exhaust? Thanks in advance for any suggestions Sean
