  1. First, well done Neil for getting this up and running... Next, if scrutineering let a car enter, although it dos'nt quite meet the regs then that is their descision! i,m sure all new cars on a new event would be treated the same along as it not a saftey issue, if you still dont like it then protest in the correct manner and pay the protest fee (i would think this applies being ran to MSA regs). And more, yes a lot of people showed an interest, including myself. But nevermind the cost building a car, I can not afford any form of motorsport at this time! as this year is proving worst than last and the one before, with no trade and being self employed you have to be sensible.(yes i know, violins)When I spoke with Neil last year, I was hoping things would get better!!! still more, as for XTC being like the KIng of the Hammers, its never going to happen in the uk......terrain. Rob has done a great job building his buggy and getting it ready, it,s fresh and is great to see somthing different (its what I would build, having a big interest in crawling) and when any problems are ironed out it will be competitive, but.....so will a green oval vehicle given the right venue. Neil has one hell of a job in making this event work and with the venues and format making it even harder to keep ever one interested, but it's only round two of the first year so it will take time and personally i'm still interested. 2. Course was laid out very well, pro set up and timing gear. quite a bit of Attrition though, with a full entry this should be good. Nelson. Spider Designs Ltd
  3. We are also keen to see how this format unfolds, as we are to either build a car for XTC or Howling wolf for 2010. As you mentioned Rob, this form of off road racing must be allowed to evolve along the lines of the "king of the hammers" in the states. While we all agree that for a speed event we need the MSA reg's. However without support at the first event its likley to be difficult. As i am sure we are all nervious to spend money in producing a competative car souley for XTC, looking at the reg's, teams with certain cars could make minimum changes to be able to run in the 2009 XTC. Having spoken with Neil about our intentions regarding XTC it was obvious that he is passionate about bringing this format to the UK under the AWDC and he understands the US scene, which is also gaing interest in Europe. It would be a loss then, if due to the MSA reg's and we competators can not build the type of vehicle we want to race, it failed. We must then find solutions with the help of Neil (AWDC)and the MSA..... Nelson Spider Designs Ltd.
