  1. It just made piping to the original Disco intercooler easier without having to chop the wing around.
  2. These may help if you've not already finished. I didn't have to cut or bodge anything to get it to fit. Hung it all loose 1st only tightening the joints etc when I was happy everything was sitting right. It took no more than an hours work and I was really impressed with how simply it went on and how well built it is, should last a good while I reckon and worth every penny it saved me in time after spending the best part of every weekend for a year stripping and rebuilding the old girl.
  3. They can't be early ones then because Mk1 pre 93 disco diffs are definately 10 spline as are RR classics. I have disco diffs in my 2a and they're a straight swap with the exception of the fill hole which needs to be added to the diff pan on early axles as it's on the diff casing itself on early series motors. 1993 was the changeover year for the disco diffs
  4. A tip to sort out a brake cheap cylinder is to polish the inside with a Dremel and some fine polishing compound until you get a mirror finish like you find in OE Girling kit. You'll have no more problems with premature seal wear.
  5. My Hayabusa is electronically limited to 186 MPH, well it was I have ZR rated tyres that are rated for "over 156MPH" nearly 200 notes for a rear tyre that lasts 5000miles if I'm lucky !!! They don't do anything with a stated higher speed so could I sue the manufacturer if I had a blow out at 200mph on an airfield ? Could the police still do me for having tyres with no "specific" max speed rating ?? Commen sense is the key, buy the best tyres you can afford that are made for the job.
  6. http://www.muddyoval.com/articles/manuals/index.htm has quite a bit of landy stuff on it
  7. I'm going the same way for the same reasons, it seems to be the norm for everyone I've spoken to. The only complaint is the TDI is noisy but heard nothing about negative vibes man
  8. I've had one of these for a while, it's great for copper or Kunifer but no good for Steel. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DELUXE-BRAKE-PIPIE-F...emZ250378927670
  9. I'm no professional but I have to say I've had no real issues with CO2 pub gas myself, I always play around with settings on bit's of scrap before setting too on the actual job. I check for penetration and porosity but I normally find running at somewhere between 10-15 PSI at the nozzle I get strong clean welds.
  10. Assuming it's not been replaced, lots will have been by now, then it would have orginally been stamped on the drivers side dumbiron just above the spring mount on the outside face. It's also on the plate on the dash.
  11. I think right to roam only applies to certain areas, certainly not on someones private land other than within the limits of any RoW running across it.
  12. Flashlube is used with LPG to stop the valve seat recession. It uses a seperate injector directly into the intake, it doesn't go into the petrol tank like a lead replacement additive Mike
  13. Synthetic coach/truck paint and a roller. Jawel Paints in Brum do 5L in any BS colour for around £30. I've just done a Sankey in Mid Brunswick Green (Landy to follow) and it's lovely paint to work with, goes on well, flows out nicely and covers easily in one coat but for an extra nice finish it gives a really deep finish with a second coat....... but to be honest series Landies shouldn't look too shiney it's just not right
  14. Got a nice pair of full leather Fiat X19 seats in mine, top job
  15. Very nice kit that Southdown I know what I want for Christmas
  16. I got a Safari for a 200TDI from Paddocks for £125 IIRC, I had to find the internal bit off a newer defender for the wing but worked and looks the dogs danglies. Mike
