Yea i could do with a replacement ,a new one is proving expensive this time of year. does it matter to you that i am across the pond. Let me know if i am to far away. I can wire on or use the card to cover the cost/down payment.

This is a pic of the insides of my 2004 td5 defender's ecu nnn500020. i have it 6 years. It failed while on its first school run(in protest).is it common for the ecu to fail. Does anyone know if its for the bin or can it be refixed. I can post it anywhere they would repair it.
I have noticed an oil leak from the side of the egr valve on my 2004 td5 90. It's weaping out the engine side through what looks like the open and close valve for the egr. I don't think the system uses oil, so I was wondering is the oil coming from the engine or some where and just finding a way out here. There is no blue smoke or noticeable drop in power. There is some oil in the pipe going on to the intercooler.
Does anyone have any tips on how to seperate the drive flange from the splines. I have tried the right hand side with no success. I now see the left is worse.
I have just change my drop ball arm and had a look at the steering damper. Is it like a suspension shock ,offer some resistance and push out to full lenght when after been compressed. I just disconected it and it didnt move, in or out.
Change your driving style, drive like a truck driver lift off trottle well before a corner or lights. This saved me about 2mpg and then i invested in a K&N air filter this also got me about 3mpg. All in all it has taken my td5 up to 32mpg.
Its a td5. I didnt know about the relay. Is that in where the fuses are. The wiper wont turn off at all. In the intermittened position it just stays on, in the off position it stays on, in the first speed position its on and the speed 2 position works perfect( as in goes faster).
Could anyone help a me find the park switch for the wipers on my td5 defender. Its probably an obvious question and answer but am only a novice at this.I had the wiper switch in the cab tested and the seemes to be no fault.
