  1. Does anyone know were the wiper park switch is located? Thanks Malcolm.
  2. I manage to get it fix, it was giving me a bit of mayhem from the begin as I bent the float in & out but still no dice...It was my guess that it was not tight enough as well so making sure everything was tight & the obvious happened, over tighten lost the tread on the bracket but built it up with washers good as new. As for the drive cable still slipping so I stuck a screw driver between the cable and the middle of the bracket this worked so, I bent the bracket over the cable giving it more down pressure...I just hope I don't have take it of again!!! Now that iron is hopefully out the fire I need to know where the wiper park switch is located?? needs replacing. Thanks for your input don't stop now as I'm not so mech minded...helping me to think outside the box. Malcolm.
  3. It's my passenger side as well, I'm just making my way out know to see if the float solve my problem...I really don't want to keep removing the dash!! how much pain Malcolm.
  4. Thanks for the quick reply! this could be the problem as I wasn't aware that you could adjust it was my thinking just to replace ...I will give it a try first thing in the morning.
  5. The cable seem to good condition I did attach a pic but not sure where it's gone in cyber space, as for the end float is that the middle part bracket which cover the cable?
  6. I've just replaced the wiper wheel box on my defender but having a problem with the new one as the cable from the motor keeps slipping on the cog wheel when under pressure e.g when putting the wiper arm back on...any ideas on how to fix this?? Thanks Malcolm
  7. Manage to find the problem with the axle after stripping down the hold thing the CV joint splines were worn on both the CVJ & drive flange, now I need to know how to get the shaft out of the CV joint...do you have to press it out? Thanks MaxxTraxx
  8. I was really looking for a more positive answer about the pinion as for me to replace it with new or refurb I will have to wait about 2 months for it to get here, i'm abroad at the mo you might have heard of it Ascension Island (gate way to falks) nice relax place but so far from everything!! The reason I ask is because I have rear pinion on hand, but if you guy's have doubts then i'm a bit sceptical aswell dont want to add my problems to landy but I do want to back 4wheeling asap Thanks MaxxTraxx
  9. Now that I have a step by step thread on how to dismantle the front axle I would like to know if the rear pinion/diff could replace the front pinion in the front axle? Also what nose diff seals to buy as i changed two nose diff seals recently on the rear axle and they are still leaking oil, is there any specific type of nose seal for the 300tdi? I've checked on the Paddocks website for a nose seal but they all have different item numbers and no guideline on which seal i should buy! I posted a thread today with some pics but it didn't seem to upload sorry if a another similar thread is on the forum!! Thanks MaxxTraxx
  10. Now that I have the step by step front axle dismantle, I need to know if the rear pinion would work in the front axle & what oil seal do I need for the axle nose? as i've just changed the rear oil seal & the thing is still leaking went on paddocks but they had a few different item numbers but they looked the same. The pic was one of the first new replacments Thanks MaxxTraxx
