  1. As far as I know, there is no negative effects, the tyre apparently run cooler and last longer.
  2. If I remember correct, app. 20 minutes to sipe a tyre but quite hard work. I have gone mine to 1/4 inch and I have driven app 20.000 km since and they dont need to be done yet.
  3. Another option is to sipe the tyre, you can do it yourself either with a utility knife or with a siping tool. I brought this: http://pitstopusa.com/i-5076680-allstar-performance-tire-siper-14-blade-red.html last year and after I siped my BFG AT tyre, they grip much better - probably not as good as a studded tyre, but way better than a standard BFG AT tyre.
  4. Like this ? http://www.fambj.dk/pages/land-rover/pomerania-2011.php?pic111=59 It works great - easy to get and keep the mud outside....
  5. On the car I normally co-drive on, we store the waffelboards in a ali-frame on the bonnet. It work very very well. Easy quick access - makes the codriver happy. Not a great photo, but the best I could find
  6. I've built a storagebox on top of each wheelboxes out of plywood, with a removabel piece of plywood between the tops. Nothing fanzy. Just something I made 2 hours before a trip to Poland, but it works very well. Food in the right side, tools and straps in the left, tent and sleeping bag on top of the removabel plate and heavy and dirty gear below. I can take a picture tomorrow if you like.
  7. Paddock Spares got a version for Jackall http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/OFF_ROAD/J...th_Jackall.html
  8. You can download drawings from Danish Land-Rover Club's website http://www.dlrk.dk/s/r.asp?wurl=30 as eighter AutoCad or PDF drawings. The anchor is of the Danforth type and quite strong, but I have seen a Mile-Marker bent the spade badly during a double line pull.
  9. I have a T-max EW 12500, and apart from some stupid monkey (IE me ) who mounted the short splined axle between the gearbox and drum, the wrong way allowing the winch to freespool without warning, I have not have any problems. Apparently grease is very rare in China, so it is a good idea to ad some to the gearbox, especially the freespool mechanism.
  10. I have a T-max EW-12500 and its a OK winch, its quite slow but also powerfull, it have always kept pulling. I have been quite happy with my T-max , until the overload clutch on a medium pull suddenly let go and the car drop 1½ meter downhill. I dont think there is a need for overload clutch, and I will prefer to ruin the motor instead of the winch suddenly freespool, so I will try to get the overload clutch welded solid.
  11. What about the Danish Land-Rover Clubs 30 years anniversary? It takes place 23/7 - 30/7. Website: http://www.30aar.dlrk.dk/ Or Pomerania in Poland 13/10 -15/10 Website: http://www.njz.pl/njz.ang/index.html Or Sweden Offroad Tour 8/7-23/7 Website: http://www.swedenoffroad.com/
