  2. Speak to PROLINX as they supply a Fox Shock that is a land rover OEM replacement with the correct eye and pin fittings for direct replacement. Worth a look. The Fox shocks are fully rebuildable, the others are great till they break or run out. Spend now and you will have years of fun with a Fox shock Chris Bowler
  3. Strongly suggest you fit the exhaust shields, the heat build up will melt the bottom of the airflow meter pipes Chris bowler
  4. If you need any parts or advice. Cambrian 4 x 4 farm
  5. I assume we are talking TD5??? The pump in the tank pumps to 4 bar. The regulator controls this as required to maintain the pressure as demand constantly changes. As Mike has said - the standard system is 4 bar. What advantage is a higher DELIVERY pressure in a common rail system, when it is the injector that creates the high pressures needed. Never heard of a TD5 running out of fuel in the gallery if the pump is in good condition. Chris Bowler
  6. Just to add, the injectors are a high pressure generator, there is no high pressure pump in a TD5 engine. The injectors have a chamber that when the cam moves a rocker arm, pushes a plunger that compresses the fuel, then at the right time an electric switch fired by ecu, opens the injector into the cylinder. 8. Ed Before you order, speak to Paul at PROLINX. Very helpful and will guide you on best Fox shock for your truck as well as other details. Chris bowler
  9. Challenge events were not really around when Mike was about - fair comment through - lets have a Comp Safari to remember him instead!!! Chris Bowler
  10. If you are going down the route of more road going/ legal vehicles, why not tie in with the British Army Motoring Association - they hold an off road nav event in Nov/ Dec every years ROADMASTER, normally on military training areas in the Hants area and I know HBRO help lay out the trials sections - just up the technical level and increase the map reading to get the variety. Chris Bowler
  11. You must do it when cold or else you will get a false reading- oil expands when hot!!! Use a diagnostic computer and check oil temp is below 40 degrees. Chris bowler
  12. When using AUTOLOGIC, you can see a selection of details that are stored in the BECM. Engine size, mileage, date of build etc etc. included in these details is MOTRONIC Code and EDC code. It should give you an option to edit these details. If you know the EDC code you need to compare it with the stored value in the BeCM. EDC codes are usually 4 or5 digit numbers. Eg 1343 or 23353 I would expect the hawk eye to have some sort of scroll down menu that allows these details to be changed. Chris bowler
  13. You CAN do it with Autologic!!! Chris Bowler
  14. Fuel needs to be delivered at 32-35psi. There are some Bosch in line pumps on eBay for rover v8 that work very well. I use 8mm fuel hose and mount pump close to the tank. Chris bowler
  15. Have you considered either head gasket or engine burning essisive oil due to a poss liner/ piston problem. I had a p38 v8 that I could not get throu mot . Co 2 values throu the roof . It ended up a dropped liner ( visibility dropped by 6 mm). Not that likely but may have to be consider particularly as the LPG cannot be set up . Chris bowler
