  1. Part way through converting a diesel 300tdi to a 3.9 efi Hit some electrical problems May be immobilizer.. But can't get engine to turn or spark Quickly running out of time :-( Wondering if anyone fancies earning some money and sorting it maybe cheers 07540866838
  2. I shall probably be making some fuel lines for a 3.9 efi v8 out of braided hosing just wondering if anyone knows on the diameter of the fuel line needed, how long it needs to be an what thread is on the fuel rail and lift pump, also how does the fuel filter connect to fuel lines cheers
  3. Firstly sorry if i have missed an already posted topic on the same subject im looking into whether i can put a td5 dash cluster into my 3.9 v8 disco with the intention of putting this in I know...im a chav as to whether i could put that in already or if i have to/can fit a td5 dash im a bit stumped any help appreciated cheers
  4. cool, so that couple with a bit of petrol swiling and draining whilst its off the truck will do forgot to mention i ran it with a bit of used veg oil, which furthers my concern for a dirty tank
  5. i have a diesel tank off my 300tdi discovery and im wondering wether i could use it for when i put the V8 in. if so how much cleaning do i have to do cheers
  6. Currently converting 300tdi commercial discovery into 3.9 efi V8

  7. Range Rover classic in black, kitted out very nicely, winch up front guardian rear bumper, 2+ lift on it 8 spoke wheels with insaturbo special tracks looks to have been abandoned potentially someones pride and joy been nicked and ditched slim chance I know but if this helps then all is well call for info 07540866838
  8. possibly something to check, as i thought i had lost my bottom end, take off the auxiliary belt, fan belt, power steering belt, whatever you want to call it and check for play in your bottom crank pully, and all the others whilst your there it probably isnt that but its a 2 minute check
  9. if anyone has sseen a white discovery 1 commercial with a fox racing logo on the side around gloucestershire then im sure they can vouch for my sound system as i usually have it rather loud. i got rid of the crappy 4" speakers in the front doors (300tdi have them at the top by handle) and then got out my router and drill opend up the holes to accommodate some 5.25" speakers did pretty much the same for the 4" speakers in the rear pillars but for some 6x9". used original brackets for the rears just cut them up into 4 an replaced on the 6x9 corners. as its a commercial im not exactly pushed for space so i have 2x12" 1800watt subs in the back in a bass box - this wont be staying as eventually i hope to build my own bulkhead between the seats up front and the back which will have the subs in all in all a good sound system which really s:hits on them chavs in their little 'one point nothing' saxos
  10. ok thanks for that any chance you or someone could go in to little bit more detail in regards to brake and fuel lines could 4 Lads lift it or would it need a crane
  11. I am contemplating swapping the cockpit/bodys on 2x 1996 3door commercial discoverys (interiors to stay in original shells) ones a 300tdi and the other is a 3.9 v8 just wondering what would be involved and whether this could be a good idea or not how many of what holds them down to roughly were any help opinions much appreciated cheers
  12. dont suppose you ave any videos or sound clips of your set up do you tea bag the diesel mid box is alot smaller than the v8 one
  13. ok ill let 'those' chav remarks go ill have you know it provides a very nice sound as if it was a finely tuned engine instead of a lumpy ~LPG deadend V(just about)8 plus its another excuse to put a big switch inside the truck
  14. in a couple of months i will be swapping my 300tdi for a 3.5 v8i as for my exhaust i was thinking of fitting a cherry bomb at the tail pipe(ish) putting my diesel mid box in place but no back box. but also have an exhaust cut out inplace before the mid box with a pipe that rejoins after the mid box the cut out is a Y piece with a valve in i can opperte from inside the truck.. give it a google or a youtube if unsure my queston is will the diesel mid box be a good idea as i want it to be legal an all but still want it to be loud an sound good. i figure the diesel mid box would be inbetween the v8 mid box and backbox in terms of sound deadening or better to just use a back box in the middle any help or other ideas much appreciated
  15. what about the itg "performance" filter specifically for discoverys
