Recommendations for replacement bulkhead parts
Les Brock replied to Junglie's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
Maer are good quality, but be prepared to wait - two months and counting so far for some small parts to arrive -
Took a wander and as above seemed a lot of tat Almost like most of the decent bits had been stuck on Eblag and this was what was left along with all other bits to large to post Also seemed like there was more vintage stuff than Land Rover bits TBH Perhaps I just could'nt see the wood for the trees, but came back with very little which is unusual to say the least.

Usually blob of solder if your lucky and covered with black nasty. Trouble is if you do it yourself and they might not sign it off, but I'd want to be know how they've tapping in case of a fault and your stuck Normally 3 circuits IIRC

Sad news indeed, many a good weekend was had there going back a fair few years I have to be honest. J33P's one were superb. Fond memories indeed Trouble is back then we generally used to drive to and from (well a lot of us did) 35's were just in, whereas now bigger and (better) Buggy's combined speed events have I would imagine lead to much more visible damage Hopefully it will open up to lightly modded in the future with limited tyre size once its recovered

My Old girl would pull 70 no problem at all with a fair bit more to spare 1.4 Transfer box on 255/85 Alisport large intercooler, tweeked pump just diaphram and turned standard pin - wastegate tweeked a tad tighter and boost referance taken direct from intake manifold to cover any losses in pipework Fed with 3 inch pipework 3.5 Diffs Ashcrofts Kick down adjusted correctly ? Are you running out of fuel ? - poor lift pump, blocked, pick up maybe, blocked air filter

Tdi big intercooler performance differences?
Les Brock replied to Chicken Drumstick's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
Mine will be coming out at some time -
I used the same, there are loads on You Tube on how to strip down the AC compressor, block a internal port and then grease the rear of the pump and re assemble, so you dont need to run an oiler and no oil get into your airline

Used to love flicking through a LR mag before going to work, never got to grips with electronic mags, just not the same. Sad to see aother one down the pan (even tho as above they screwed us over)

Thinking back (i'm getting old) I think you might be right, will have a delve in the old file and see what I produced for the actual test Right remembered now..... I proved age of the Engine using Engine code: (be one of 11L, 12L and 13L) and productions years 89-92 IIRC and they were satisfied with that and listed emmisions as N/A
-
When I had mine SVA'd trying to get anything out of Land Rover, was like pulling teeth with a grinder ........ They accepted the emmisions from the official Land Rover Workshop manual in the end as it was a 200Tdi and that was quite limites in production year so they also accepted that as age Mine was SVA'd as a commercial so any info I can give is prob useless for IVA 😃
