  1. Yes.. Sunflower yellow with the daisy stickers. Sorted!
  2. We all know that a green can = unleaded petrol and black = diesel but is there an official colour for bio diesel or straight/used veg oil? With more and more people using bio and veg oil should there be an official colour?
  3. Thanks cieranc, that's some good info.
  4. I don't use Red and never will. I'm just trying to find out if there is a sure fire way of removing all traces from the jerry cans as I don't want the White Derv that I am going to store in them to get contaminated. I have slopped some petrol around in them and left it overnight. Nothing mucky came out (no rust or mud) so I guesss they are good to go now? Thanks, Matt
  5. I guess I should just chuck them and get some brand new ones then? That the safest option?
  6. Thanks all. I'll get some petrol in them and give it a good shake. Matt.
  7. Hi all, I have a couple of green, ex MOD, 20L jerry cans that a farmer friend gave me. I intend to paint them black and fill them with derv for the defender but the only problem is that they have had red derv in them. Does anyone know the best way to clean them out? I want to fill them with normal derv to use as extra fuel storage and don't want it contaminated by the residue of the red derv. Thanks, Matt
  8. I have mine mounted on the front of the passenger seat box... And some nice 6M long jump leads..
  9. I'm going to stick my head out here and say that I quite like the "Ice" version. Maybe I just have a 110 SW fetish?
  10. You got a pic of your landy? I could knock something up for you whilst we wait for the pros to come along.
  11. Great. I will get some MTF94 and see how it goes. I have been out and tried double clutching into second but it makes no difference so I guess it will be the synchro that's knackered. Looking at the worst, if it is the gear, does that mean a new box or just a new second gear? And is it a easy job of do I need to start saving for a real mechanic? Thanks all.
  12. so MTF94 is the "proper" one but MT75 may be better? Wow oil is complicated! I know nothing about it so I guess MTF94 is the one for me.
  13. Thanks for the replies. What oil should I put in? MT75 or MTF94?
  14. Hi all I have a problem with 2nd gear in my td5 defender (manual). It's been like it since I purchased it (that will teach me to trust an ebay seller and not test drive!) and now I want to get it sorted out. When I change to 2nd the gear grinds. It will go in if I give it a push or if in slow down to around 7mph. All other gears are fine and nice and smooth. Any ideas on what I should look at first?
