  1. I think I may have a similar problem with my Freelander. It is forever blowing brake light bulbs on either side and has done so for about 2 years. When you look closely at the bulb when it is removed from its holder, the contact bars that the element joins appears melted, so there is clearly something wrong. Despite trying a number of different makes of bulb, the same thing happens each time. There are no signs of water ingress or condensation in the lamp unit and the contacts are clean. I did speak to the local Landrover dealer about the issue and he had never come across it before, so could not offer DIY advise. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had a similar issue, good luck with yours... Rgds Col
  2. Cheers, I assumed that the whole thing had to come off to change the discs. The haynes manual isnt that clear on this vehicle. I will try the 2 screws and see how I get on. Thanks again for your speedy feedback, appreciate it. Colin
  3. Would anyone out there know what size socket is required to remove the hub nut on a front disc. We have a Freelander TD4 2004 I am going to have a go at replacing the front discs when I change the pads, but I dont have the socket to remove the nut. Also is it safe to use the same nut again or do you normally have to replace with a new one. Appreciate your help if anyone knows. Cheers Col
