  1. i once used washig up liquid but wouldn't use it again. last time i cleaned i got some tent cleaner from millets filled the bath with warm water and let it soak for a bit, then used the shower to rince it out, it worked well but i dont think the girlfriend was too impressed a garden sparyer is the best methord for applying waterproofing.
  2. Thanks Rob, i have had oil leaking from the swivel, i replaced the seal a few weeks ago by cutting the seal and negotiating it round the axle so i didnt need to strip the whole thing down, bit of a bodge but it worked. I will see what it handles like after ive done the bushes. Thanks.
  3. hi again, this evening i took my track rod off to remove my radius arms. Once the track rod was off , as i expected the swivel housing was very easy to move, so much so that when i moved it and let go it just swung around on its own. it is a defender TD5 (2000) i have 17mm bolts on the upper swivel pin and 13mm on the bottom. Do i need to remove shims from just one pin or both of them? I seem to have confused myself by reading other threads. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
  4. I replaced the panhard rod bushes afew weeks ago, had great fun gettin the old one out ended up using a blow torch and hack saw. I gona take the radius arms off at weekend and get a grarage to press them out should hopefully save alot of stress. As for bearings im alittle confused.... been reading old threads, im i right in thiking the railko bush has 17mm bolts and the later taper roller bearing are 13mm?
  5. Thanks for the info, I will have a good look and olny start worring if find any play, ive been suffering for steering wobble on rough roads. Im hoping the new bushes will make a diffrence, but im just trying to check everything else that it could possibly be.
