  1. Anyone know the weight of a 200tdi 110 county station wagon. Cheers.
  2. Hi Streaky Hows it going ? Tweeters in the "A" pillar made a big difference when I put them in mine, dont know how much they can handle though. Whats more interesting though is the 6.5's in the door panel ..... send me some pics. Jo
  3. P38 diesel, what do I need to look at/for when viewing. Good / bad points. Mpg, any nasty surprises that I should know about. What to be aware of or stay away from etc etc. Cheers
  4. Is there a maximum speed that I can drive with the front prop removed and with the centre diff locked. My DC prop decided to destroy itself yesterday, so untill I can source another is there any reason why I shouldnt drive with it locked and at 60 mph.
  5. Anyone running these tyres with tubes, yes I know there tubeless but managed to pick some up cheap and wondering if they will be ok on a tubed rim with tubes. Cheers.
  6. Got hold of some "take off" wolf rims today at a very cheap price .... unbelievably they were sitting tucked away in a container at a main dealers. Anyway there going on my disco which is a black/grey colour and I'm not sure what colour to paint them, was going to paint them black but not sure if that would look a bit strange with a black tyre as well (too much black). Saw some a few years ago on a police series 2 disco and they were like a grey colour which looked ok. When I started to rub them down this evening I was surprised how thin the paint was and how poorly painted they were considering there in the right place to rust very easily. So any suggestions on colours. And before anyone says what does it matter about the colour .... there white at the moment and that just looks carp on a black disco.
  7. its a 98 300tdi, what make was the one you fitted
  8. Been fitting a cruise control unit this weekend. The instructions say take a feed from the speed sensor but I dont really want to run a cable from the units black box under the car, what I would like to do is find the cable somewhere inside the car and tap into it where its not going to get covered in carp. Problem is I havnt got a wiring diagram avaliable at the moment to look at so I cant find where this cable goes or even if it changes colour anywhere. Any ideas about colours or routing of the cable would be great.

Thanks to everyone for there replies. I'll leave it well alone then. It just looks like its been chopped off instead of having a cap or something over the end.

Antenna .... thought it might of been but wasn't sure. If I increase the length of the cable will it increase the range of the key fob ?

Amr 6429 its the green ecu it sits behind the glove box on a LHD not sure if its in the same place on a RHD. Anyway while rumaging yesterday for another cable I noticed that on the left side of the ecu is a red cab about 2.5 mm in diameter which is about 10 cms long and clipped onto the side of the box. If looking at the ecu the side with the stickers facing you then its the last cable on the left. Is this an antenna or something else as it looks like its just been cut off ..... only problem is I cant see the other end.
  12. Hi streaky Its not bolted to the headlining its actually bolted to the roof, but I did have to take the head lining down to make same spacers up and fix the bracket to the roof, the spacers were so I didn't crush the headlining when I bolted it all back together. It took a long time to do but I think it looks good and itheres no vibrations ....ore do you want.
  13. Hi Streaky Can you remember where I put that pioneer amp/sub, its still there and it sounds fantastic ..... and best of all I didn't loose any space. If you need a pic let me know.
  14. Other end connects to the heater within the depths of the dashboard.
