  1. Thanks for your time and advise I will pass it on to the other half and he can decide what he wants to do with it.
  2. Basically, other half has been driving it since November 2009. It was losing power and making a horrendous noise. I asked him when he had last had it serviced or put oil in the engine and he said that he hadnt done either. Dipstick was bone dry. Towed to garage who said turbo had blown. Replaced it and said it was ready to collect when received another call to say that engine had been completely run dry and the whole thing would now need to be replaced. This is not a main dealer garage. Bill so far comes to £1,400.
  3. My Freelander has died. New turbo been fitted but now been told engine also needs to be replaced. Has anyone had to do this and how cheap can I do it? Been quoted £3,800 fitted - new and £2,800 fitted - recon. Any help appreciated.
  4. Thanks will give it a go
  5. Hi I ve got a 2005 HSE complete with Land Rover Sat Nav system. Last couple of times I ve tried to use this it gets as far as telling me that "Your Route is being calculated" and thats as far as I get. The egg time just goes round and round and Ive been told that to get Land Rover to see what the problem is will cost upwards of £84. Lost and confused - any ideas?
