  1. David Bowyer wont supply to them unless by debit or credit card, has done so for a while
  2. doesnt he live in the house in front of the unit though ?
  3. Blimey no one likes this company do they, I have purchased quite a bit from them. Colin was always polite to me, got a coffee for me and never arrogant. However buying the smallest thing just took so long, the phones were always ringing and nothing was ever priced in the showroom. When asked why, there answer was, that Tesco's stipulated that they couldn't as they were there as a wholesaler ?. WTF has that got to do with it ?. As for the polish, never come across a rude one yet, maybe they have taken over SR. I found the showroom nicely stocked, and the workshop was always busy, but it was a bloody nightmare parking there. They will most likely purchase the stock at a reduced rate and pay the administrators a small good will fee, and leave the creditors with a heavy loss. Bad buisness ethics however you look at it.
  4. so whats the story with this site, why was it closed ? didn't peter graves run it before ?, and why do I need to brng my drivers license next time took some vid of me and my girl friend playing, dont know why she felt the need to vid me winching, and waddling around http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fpGQpzCdsyA
  5. I went there for the first time in my g wagen, i thought it was a very good site. All sites have a limitation for extreme boys, but still a good pay an play. The disco scenario was bad, especially with the kids still it the back
  6. waste of bloody time. the times I have had to untangle it from the fairlead, although there is things you can do to prevent this happening. Just came back from the forest of ae challenge, no sails were required. We have the gigglepin twin motor with a 12mm plasma. we were well stuck in bog, done a single line pull and ping went the rope, and dropped straight to the floor !
  7. Minimum TYRES are m/t, no winch required as plenty of help from organizers . Expect light scrathes but it's very enjoyable .
  8. Cevenol is hard on your truck, and its a 500 mile drive from calais. try these http://www.nro-aventure.com/Raid-du-Malgré-Tout-7.html, done the Malgre tout about 5 times, its a road book through the french country side, giving you some tame and hard lanes as well as off road sites. £200 each for 4 days over the ascension holidays in May. Includes campsite, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal. Although the briefing is in french there is a couple of english speaking frenchman there, also a few brits go. Its worth is as its normally done around the champagne region so not to far a drive. heres a link to our club that went the weather is normally scorching but it was pretty damp last year. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=m7mtx9pY_fc
  9. Depends on what you want, cevenol is just awesome, but hard on your truck , if you want tame laning and some decent off road play sites there's the malgre tout which is 4 days in may and good value as all meals are included in price
  10. thers is a challenge where there are very few marshalls and I read some where in the rules that "cheating was mandatory" The ultimate challenge and santas challenge.
  11. The argyle/tay is a bit easier to marshall though, 40 vehicles in teams of 2, so only 20 mashalls to follow each team. To get 40 + marshalls for the howling would be a struggle dont you think. Also its hard to get marshalls to give penalties as some feel intimidated. The best marshall i came across was a women in an event last year, there was no budging with her and she upset quite a few who interpreted the rules to there own gain, but she stuck to the rules and it was fair to all who competed.
  12. this is as far as it goes, hope to tray back it if I can persuade him but modded enough to compete isnt it ? and it get used in many events, just not enough for me
  13. yea the deep water !, and being a TD5 my driver didnt fancy it, but now its been modded to float, its now not too much of a problem.
  14. We were going to enter four of the howling woolfe starting with the kirton site, but after speaking to a couple that entered the last one, they declined to do anymore because of a couple of guys cheating by running over the tape, and apparently these guys are in the top 3 !!. so we decided not to enter this event because of what we heard. But they did says the howling is one of the best set out and organised events, just a shame there's cheating exercisers !!
  15. we did the TOR tulip thingy round hertfordshire and did the long ane with water in it but that was about the only excititng bit about it, also the ford crossing near the mill which was bloody deep. yes g wagens im afraid sorry
