Elly my 93 RRC LSE needs a new rear floor and X-member plus a few other things ie-
New rear exhaust, cross threaded manifolf bolts (still blows a tiny bit), O/S/R light cluster (smashed) , electric seats/mirrors inop, heater fan motor inop (squeeled when it did) and the front passenger window won't go down.
MOT prep and shoring up 1st.
Guess i've got my work cut out for me. All with the credit crunch too.

1. I'm hauling a container down to Tilbury docks and then round to Thamesport tonight. I'll keep my eyes open for ye. Kris
2. Sold for the big wad of £222 at 16:09 8/10/09 Right lads.... Come on now... Own up... Which one of you sadistic Landie Lovers actually bought it?
3. I'm not in any way an expert but i would be thinking about what would happen in a head on collision. All the force of the person in the seat will be directed on the seat back and the ratchet that holds it upright. In a forward facing seat all the force goes into the seat belt therefore the person in the back would crush the front passengers. I would be thinking of bracing the top of the seat back in some way. Kris
4. Hi there, i would like your thoughts on wether you lot think a beginner welder like myself should invest in one of these to fix the sills, rear arches and rear body x-member. I was going to save up and get a Mig welder which my bro inlaw can teach me use and i'm told Mig's better for welding panel work. I won't be doing anything with the chassis as cautioned earlier in this thread. As you guys say it is a real bargain but if it's not suitable for the job (or a begginer) then it's 30 quid better spent elsewhere. Thanks Kris
5. Nothing wrong with my Volvo I-shift. I love it to bits. I wonder how good an Audi/VW DSG box would be in a Landie?
6. Thanks for all your comments, makes good reading . Kris
7. Thanks for all your comments lads. All of you have cheered me up and put me back in the right frame of mind to get going again. Thanks, Kris
8. I thought Overfinch used Chevrolet 5.7 engines?
9. Hi lads. Just a thought that i aint seen a Hemi in a Landie. I've seen the Chevy LS engines in but not the Chrysler Hemi's. While on holiday in the states a year or so ago i had a Chrysler 300C with a 5.7 Hemi V8 in it and really liked the noise. I would think a Defender with an SRT8 6.1 would be very nice. If there aren't any can anyone give any thoughts on why the LS1 engine is used over it. Thanks Kris
10. needs a new back garden

11. Thanks for the support guys . Of course you are right. Don't know what got into me thinking about quiting . If i ever talk like that again you have my permission to come round and slap me in the face (If am home, usually away in Hotel Volvo during the week ). ThreeSheds- You can't be that far away from me if your near M1/M62. I'm originally from South East Leeds but i live in Wakey now. Thanks again, a rejuvinated Kris
12. Thanks for the advice ThreeSheds . At this rate there will be no original metal left on my Rangie . This is to go on top of replacing the rear floor/rear X-member/both sills and patching the outer rear wheel arches on the C post . All this before i can turn my attention to other faults such as cruise inop/heated elec seats and door mirrors inop/ new rear exhaust/ fixing cross threaded manifold bolts/ unexplained battery drain/ bent steering rod and damper/ 4 new tyres/ replacing several worn bushes..... the list goes on . I'm very tempted at the mo to just give up and break her and save up for a P38 but i just can't bring myself to break my 1st Landie , plus she's an LSE, although i'm not sure how rare they are at the mo. I don't want to kill one of a limited number. Sorry for the rant but i'm a bit depressed and daunted at the moment . Thanks again Kris.
13. Don't suppose you've got any pictures of what you did have you? Thanks Kris
