  1. Non cat downpipes won't mate up to a standard system though. You will have to lengthen or shorten the rest of the system (can't remember which). Or buy the rest of the non cat system of course.
  2. Some later 300TDi's don't have a spider unit although they still have a full alarm and immobiliser. It works through the alarm control unit and a seperate diesel immobilisation unit (DDS) rather than a spider. As BM asks, what are your symptoms?
  3. Why not just unclip the ultrasonic sensor and unplug the wiring. Then clip the sensor back and job done!
  4. They are just units from an earlier Disco. Should be plenty around and not too expensive. Plenty of different lighting combinations but most people have two sets of sidelights and two sets of indicators. That leaves the standard brake/fog/reverse.
  5. Hi All, I have a Disco V8 Auto with standard 1.222 ratio transfer box (Suffix F). I would like to know if I can do a direct swap with the high ratio gear (1.410) out of an older (B suffix) box taken from a LT77 gearbox. I already have a seal and gasket set but would also like to know if there in anything that MUST be replaced upon dismantling and reassembly such as bearings/spacers etc?? Will probably be a few weeks before I attempt the job but would like to get info and parts gathered beforehand. Thanks, Sev
  6. Shouldn't be a problem with the transfer box in neutral, should it?

If the system is low on pressure (or high for that matter) then there will be no power to activate the compressor. You can check by shorting out the high/low pressure switch.
  8. That's one of my jobs for the near future. Do you have the D2 flange part no. to hand? Sev
  9. Hi all, I am considering removing the viscous fan on my V8. I was wondering whether the air con fans would be up to the job of cooling the engine if fitted with a suitable thermostat/switch? I use my vehicle for mainly road use so as long as it copes with slow moving traffic jams in summer I will be OK! Cheers for now, Sev
