Thanks for the replys guys , appreciate it
has anyone got the original wiring diagram ? All the images have gone on the threads ive found .
Closest one I've found is :
https://www.landroverexpedition.com/technical/300tdi-low-coolant-alarm/
This has worked well for me in the last 5 years. It comes on when I brake hard so I know it's still working

Nice. What's going to be your run-in strategy?

I've only come across problems with hard tops when they have bench seats in the back

Go and have a play here: http://www.ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk/calc/ratio_calc.html
With standard tyres and diffs, that setup will give you 2850 RPM at 60mph. A 1.4 box will give you 2411 RPM at 60mph and 2071 RPM for a 1.2 ratio.
1.2 is what that gearbox is designed for and 2k revs is well in the power band for a 2.8TGV, albeit at the noisy end

Check the fuel inertia switch on the bulkhead under the bonnet. It's designed to turn off in an accident and a large bump can trigger it
-
They potentially have a finalised design because they invited their "ambassadors" to go see it and got them to tweet about how they thought it looked great
-
I've seen that one but I think I'd only buy if they could produce some comparison graphs (don't know if they can or not)

Rob mentioned in another thread that he got an "IRB Developments Variable Vane turbos"

Their website also says they're looking at doing galv bulkheads too from this winter (+/-)

So I got them side by side and did some measuring. Turns out it's about 1 inch different.
@dailysleaze I'm willing to bet that was salisbury axle to short nose, not long nose to short nose.
Yes, d'oh

Only 2002+ door locks can use the ignition key, due to the barrels being wider and longer. Unless you upgrade to these then it's always going to be 2 keys.

Order the exact part number and don't let the suppliers fool you. ASB710200 is correct for 2006. Your option with full wings is pretty much only genuine LR (unless second hand), so you'll get the right part if you stick to the exact number you need. I would trust LRDirect/Britcar/Rimmerbros/LRSeries/A dealer. The other retailers can fob you off with any old cr*p.
- AWJ710380 is the inner wing without the insulating pad
- AWJ710400 is the inner wing with the insulating pad
They're both superseded now but the wings are the same Td5->Puma, so the inner wings are likely to be the same
Also, some past info here on plastic wings:

Agree with Steve and Lewis. Avatars are a foundation of internet communities

I bought this, which has everything in it. The seller should be able to help you identify. This is a diagram of the pump with part numbers if you want to cross check.

How was Kelmarsh? I've heard bad things on the internet

As others have said, it's not the most common place for a Defender to rot out, so there will be numerous more problems in the coming years. I see there is already another patch on the lower side of the chassis in that photo. A new chassis gives peace of mind and prevents the eternal welding cycle.

£5k. If you really mean 22k not 220k miles then that may bump it up a bit. It may be worth more breaking it.
Hard to estimate without photos though. Searching ebay's sold listings is a good place to start.

Well technically the Land Rover name has gone to India too
Here's what I went through many moons ago, which may be of some use:
The TVB prop has wider UJs STC4807, so the "wide angle" moniker may refer to that, rather than it being an upgraded version.

It's reputation that matters. I've just been sent a RH side component in LH side sealed Land Rover package with the LH side part number, so even "genuine" can be wrong.
None of them get it right all the time but the customer service is what counts.

The problem with the Britpart 2 year warranty is it's only for failures. It doesn't cover it being a rubbish part that doesn't fit in the first place!
It's always a gamble.

I believe on a Puma the slave cylinder and release bearing are the same unit, so a problem with either you would just replace it anyway. You have to split the engine and box to do this.
Sounds hydraulic to me.
