  1. This one? https://www.buzzweld.co.uk/blog/blog-9.html
  2. Microcat will show the original paint code for the vin but it's not represented in the vin itself.
  3. Suspension video's out https://ineosgrenadier.com/reveal/suspension

  5. I've found the later seal is a bugger to fit, so went with the earlier type. Bear in mind the spring side goes to the outside, as it's trying to keep water out, not oil in.
  6. The filler is correct for the tank but not the body. You can either cut the body to make the filler fit or use the later plastic filler neck and do some bespoke pipework to the tank for the fill and breather connections as they're different diameters than previously
  7. In one of his recent videos he explained how press launches work, and how journalists aren't spoon fed what to say, but the experience they have goes a long way. To paraphrase, he said: "To get the truth from their reviews, tone down the positivity, tone up the negativity and pay attention to anything mentioned as outstanding"
  8. FTC3911 was superseded. Otherwise there are two slave cylinders for the R380 based on it's serial number, but really they need to be matched to the pushrod on the clutch fork https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-rover-defender-gearbox/r380/clutch-release-mechanism_53545#10
  9. If there's no sticker on the transfer box showing the ratio then the serial number prefix will tell you (if it hasn't been converted) https://www.shop4autoparts.net/technical-info/LT230-Transfer-Box-R-Type-T-Type/
  10. i've always wanted to buy stuff from Withams but they're in a forgotten corner of the country, closed at weekends and after 5pm, and charge you storage fees for not collecting in time. If i had a day job where I commuted the A1 with a trailer it'd be fine, but otherwise they won't get my money until they make some effort in the 21st century 🤷‍♂️ /rant 😄
  11. Should have added emojis for "lightheartedness context" Although, I know people in their 60's who refuse to use metric...
  12. And also a metric bias against older folk. As a public service announcement, here are the conversions: https://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/length/?u=meter&v=2#british
  13. This is the Td5 under seat loom with connectors: https://www.lrworkshop.com/wiring-looms/defender-2002/bulkhead-loom-td5-rhd/bulkhead-td5-rhd-under-seat Some of the under seat relays connect to the bulkhead loom and some to the engine loom
  14. Given that Lidl is almost the same as Aldi 😁
  15. That's the **** right there. Good choice of presenter too
  16. Interested to see how you get on as I've been eyeing this one up
  17. Black wire on pin 9 is the alarm sensor https://www.lrworkshop.com/connectors/defender-2002my/C0488
  18. I think you have to trim them down a bit as the doors are different shapes
  19. This may help https://www.lrworkshop.com/wiring-looms/defender-1999/wing-loom-left https://www.lrworkshop.com/wiring-looms/defender-1999/wing-loom-right
  20. I split them to paint them. It was the most pointless thing I've done. I'd put the money and effort to paint new ones into a piggy bank for replacement OEM calipers in 10 years.
