  7. When new the Wolf used the standard 300 TDI Defender air filter housing. The larger Donaldson filter housing was a army mod for desert use so I do not think there is a L/R part number
  8. ALR6842 standard ASB710360 winterised I think the only difference between a wolf wing and a standard 300 tdi wind is the holes for the pick head mount and finding one not drilled for an aerial

  11. I also have some rubber boot thingy that was in with the diff parts is this part of it? If the rubber boot thingy is the thing in the bottom right of your picture I would say it is one of the grommets that hold the demister hose to the top of the heater duct (but I might be talking rubbish)
  12. Good evening I am half way through fitting a 2.8 TGV into my defender however I need it to be 24 volt. The glow plugs starter motor ETC are no problem I used wolf parts. The alternator has the vacuum pump built into the back of it. Can I fit a 24 volt regulator in place of the 12 volt one? Is it that easy? If not where can I get a 24 volt alternator that I can fit my vacuum pump on to? Thanks for your time Cheers Rob
  13. The bulkhead in my 1986 90 is quickley dessolving so I need a new one. Can I fit a TD5 bulkhead with its dash and wiring harness so I can have central locking and electric windows? (with the correct doors). Is it plug and play or will ECU s get in the way?. Any other problems that will trip me up? Thanks
  14. When I rebuilt my Wolf gear box I looked for a long time for a answer to this question but could not find a answer so useing the assumption that too much oil is better than not enough I removed the reverse light switch and filled the gearbox untill oil ran out of the hole. I then drove it untill the oil cooler pipes were hot let it cool down then removed the filler/level plug and let a small amount of oil run out to the correct level. BTW it takes a long time to get the gearbox up to temp think I did about 50 miles hope this helps cheers Rob

  20. If this would be better in the defender forum please move it. Hi all. Is there a better way of checking caster angle? I have a empty axle case with the balls bolted onto the ends and a round bar that is a good fit in the bearing holes I am planning on using this to measure the caster angle which I think should be 3 degrees Would this be the best way of doing it? and is 3 degrees right? Thanks Rob
