the wheel left the axle with the hub still bolted to the tire if you know what i mean .it kinda just sheared off . it seems i cant find any parts online for this i dont want to changewhole axle expense and stuff but its looking likely -
my wheel fell off on my 'g' reg 90 while travelling down a main road, a right disaster . ive been toldi need a swivel hub assembley with half shaft etc, these seem hard to find . But for a 200tdi disco there are a few about the question is would this fit a 1990 lr90 axle. cause all i can find is people selling whole axle for alot of money

I've recently had my starter go on my 200tdi after being in water.so I took it out and put the old td starter in it's place.well when cranking the td starter makes a wosshing grinding sound then it fires and the emgine runs fine .could it not be alligned with the fly wheel properly or could it be the solinoid not kicking the bendix out properly to engage any ideas please

ive got a 200 tdi disco convert and the damn starter is sticking. when hit with something hard it nearly goes but not quite. it looks like a hell of a task just to get to it let alone take the thing off. whats the best way to attack this job. it looks like the whole of the exhaust manifold got to come off but im sure i will be corrected

getting the starter off a retro fit 200tdi. is a job and a half you cant get at it for a start. ive never done it but to me it looks well awkward it was hard enough connecting the wires up to it. let alone taking the motor off still if you got a low battery it would turn the engine a bit when it cant turn the engine you hear a clicking noise from dash . im no expert but it aint the battery at fault try jumping it off another car see what happens

Fuel pipe problems 200 disco in 110
4x4ledbury replied to Adam001's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
fuel filter to lift pump needs extending you can get fuel hose from any factors you got to now take the fuel return to back of ijection pump. where before it went to the top of cav filter iirc. but luckily the old 200 hose reaches from the fip to the filter .i tried bodging it up but i didnt work because with a direct injection the fuel at a higher pressure than a n/a deisel -

WHAT TEMP SHOULD MY 200 RUN AT?
4x4ledbury replied to 4x4ledbury's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
yes it came with the sender i just think the thermostat stuck open thats all -
i have a oil pressure gauge in my 200 90 its about 55/60 psi on startup i think this is normal. then when warm my 200 dosent get above65c what ever im doing in it. it reads about 30psi when going 55-60. 40 psi 65=75 mph top speed then nothing on idle really . western told me a while ago official figures 1.36bar to 3.7 when warm iirc. 200s are bloody noisy engines in a 90 and i get worried by every new noise that occurs. But i learnet to live with it .

tmax aint bad austrailian iirc. but for all round cheap winch you cant go wrong with champion variety. i had a 8000lb for my little sporty 4x4 and i thought it wont be man enough for my 90 but its fine maybe not the quickest but i reccomend it

HELLO AFTER INFO i have a 90 running a 200 disco lump in .. i didnt bother messing with the old temp gauge i installed a aftetmarket one . miles better well i now its cold out but the temp never gets above 60c when on the road. Does this mean my thermostat is stuck open or there isnt one at all shouldnt it run at about 85c for the engine to be running at optinum effeciency. my oil pressure when warm is about 3.5bar. could any forom members tell me what temp theres run at that would be helpful thanks . the heaters are satisfactory not good but accectable

4x4ledbury replied to JimHepburn's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
i leave my 200 tdi 90 open all the time because i dont see the point in locking it . plus it would take 2mins for a pro theif to nick it they are preety standard in their theft devices . mind i live in a low crime area . But she is my pride and joy and would be gutted if it got knicked . -

4x4ledbury replied to 4x4ledbury's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
it starts okay but i recently charged battery. i took the meter reading from the post on the alternator were the 2 brown wires go and i took a reading off battery . AND THE FUNNY THING IS IVE GOT NO CHARGE LIGHT ON MY DASH BULBS OKAY IT NEVER COMES ON ONLY THE OIL WARNING LIGHT . LANDYS EQUAL LOTS OF PROBLEMS -
recently my electrics died at night and i had to call the rac out . The old alternator that came with my 200 engine wasnt working. so i brought another one and i got the same thing its not putting out any charge it should be putting out 14 volts but its only reading 11.56 which comes from the battery .. ? I now ive got it wired right theres only 2 wires to 1 post and then the thin charge light wire . IM THINKING IVE GOT A EARTH PROBLEM ANY SUGGESTIONS by the way its a 200 tdi disco engine in a g reg 90 for the record
