  1. Hello, I am trying to find a part number for the steering protection bar in the picture, I believe its original equipment? Cheers, Tomas
  2. Thanks for the advice, I will try the grease route first, then I might not need to loosen those screws. Cheers, Tomas
  3. Hello, the NATO hook was on my 90 when I bought it but I have never used it. When I checked it out today I found that it have seized, it won't rotate. I tried to loosen the big Philips screws, to see if I could take it apart to lubricate or clean it up but the screws wouldn't budge. What's your experience, is it worth the effort to get those screws out by some means or will it be knackered inside anyway? The hook looks like this: Cheers, Tomas
  4. It's the passenger side (off-side?) wing. So it will fit, possibly with minor adjustments, great! /Tomas
  5. Hello, I have 1986 Ninety and one of my wings is a bit dented. I got an offer to buy a wing from a TD5 90, but will it fit? Straight or with minor ajustments? Cheers, Tomas
  6. Hello, I have yet another torque related question. The manual states 260-280 Nm for the crankshaft pulley bolt, but my wrench only goes to 220. My biggest fear when working on any engine is to over-tighten and snapping bolts. How do people usually do it, I am thinking to get a 1m steel pipe to extend my wrench with. Is that OK, will I risk breaking things? 270 Nm would be pulling with about 27 Kg with a 1m shaft, right? /Tomas
  7. OK, I torqued it to about 25 Nm which should be OK then. I had read some article that stated 45 Nm, but that seemed waaay to much for those rather thin bolts. Good thing I trusted my instincts then, or it might have snapped :-( /Tomas
  8. Hello, I have recently changed the timing belt in on my 2.5 N/A, but I am starting to doubt wether I torqued the tensioner properly :-( I have the workshop manual, but I have to admit that I am confused about which the correct setting is. I am talking about the tensioner-to-engineblock torque, not the tension on the belt. Cheers, Tomas
  9. Thanks for the tip, i'll investigate! Its a 1986 Ex-MOD 90. Cheers, Tomas
  10. Hello, when I turn off the full beam it doesn't go off. When I turn the engine off it will stay on for about 10 secs, then its just dipped?! I just bought the landy and the previous owner told me that the lefthand headlight burns out all the time, I guess this is why. You wouldnt notice it if you're just drive during the day (headlights must be on during the day in Sweden). I have installed a "light booster kit" to bypass the standard loom, in theory giving better output. The relays in this kit are controlled by the original leads to the lefthand headlight. I will try using the righthand leads instead tomorrow, but other than that, any ideas on what to try? Cheers, Tomas
  11. OK, thanks. I used to have Wolf wheels on an 110 I had a couple of years ago and they are very heavy as they are, I guess they just enhanced the one ton wheels by cutting some weight with the holes and called them Wolf... :-) I think I'll go for the Wolf wheels then, I like the look with the holes better Cheers,
  12. Whats the difference between the One Ton rim and the Wolf rim, anything except the holes on the Wolf rim? Different offset maybe? Cheers, Tomas
  13. Thanks, found his website, will call him monday. Great, maybe I can get that 200tdi engine I want shipped too ;-) Cheers, Tomas
