My 2000 1.8i Freebie has the same feature. Sadly, I believe its not possible to replace any one part of the clutch system, as you have to buy the whole kit as one. In any case, you can get around it by not sitting on the clutch at junctions, and by double de-clutching when you change gear.
Admittedly, it DOES get a bit more interesting when you are feeling your way off-road....
I did read somewhere (landrovernet.com? ) about someone adding clutch fluid via the top of the Master cylinder somehow - and that seemed to help apparently, but not tried it myself.
