  1. Little update on Euro recovery - It seems that my breakdown recovery (£39) that I get with my insurance from Firebond has european recovery included, so no extra fees for me I'm pleased to say Mo
  2. Mark, wonderful news ! Congratulations to you and Nikki Mo
  3. Thanks for your answers Gents. Mo
  4. I've seen a nice fancy steering wheel that has quite taken my fancy ! It is 350mm in diameter. Is this size suitable for my landy (power steering) ? What size is your aftermarket steering wheel ? TIA Mo
  5. 110s are barges. Best thing you can do with it is drive it into the canal, fill it with coal and send it on it's merry way 90s on the other hand are what God and the Angels drive. Can't ask for any better recommendation than that, can you ? Mo
  6. Pull the engine out Chris, it's going to be from one side of the hole or the other. Mo
  7. It seems to me Chris that with a 21 year old motor, I'm limited to the AA or the RAC at £80-£90 for the trip. The others are either only covering cars up to 10 or 15 years old or want my name, address, email and phone number before quoting (no thanks). My current breakdown cover for the UK is through my insurers, Firebond, so I'll ring them this afternoon otherwise it's the RAC (I won't use the AA after their support for the motorcycle leg protecters fiasco in the eighties). Mo
  8. Ah yes, Lasalles wonderful creation ! A milestone in aftermarket dashboard design (he said, tongue firmly in cheek) Mo

  11. Nice job Paul, more gauges than you can shake a stick at I like that vdo EGT guage. Mo
  12. Based on what David says above, no. 4 but heart says no.1 is cool Landy saddo in me says no.5 with the trailer. Mo
  13. Quality, who needs a Haines when you have a Henson Nice one Les Mo
  14. I think you need to work through your list ! All are feasible but I think gearbox oil leaks should be fixed, sounds like yours is leaking from between the gearbox and the extension case. Low and/or poor quality oil can cause notchy gearchanges. Check your Ujs, are you getting any vibration with the noise ? Good luck with the weather forecast ! Mo
  15. That would be the American Cougar, wouldn't it ? A rather belated purchase, methinks Mo
  16. How about checking their tightness regularly ? If these bolts are overtightened they stretch and then don't stay tight for very long, once loose the lash from the rotating drive flange can shear them. Use locktited bolts and torque to the correct setting. HTH Mo
  17. Mine are oily too. The Tdi rocker breather feeds back into the air intake, if it's the same on the 5 then some oil can come from there despite the separator. Mo
  18. I think it would be accurate to say none since only vehicles produced since 2001 need to have it measured. Mo
  19. Why not buy a Land Rover instead, then loads of different winches will fit Mo
  20. Can't you hire an engine hoist from a plant hire place out there ? Mo
  21. Engine out, like walfy I learned the hard, repetitive way ! Ididn't need to remove the floor when I did either Edited to add - buy a genuine seal ! Mo
  22. Stu, I'd keep it that colour, it looks really nice on your 90. Lewis, your tray back looks very good indeed ! Mo
  23. I see what you mean about the warning lights now Jamie, they look a hundred times better ! Mo
