Hi John yes it was my 80 coiler challenge truck , glad to here she is still running , I miss a road legal challenge truck now , if you get a chance a picture of her would be nice
as the title , GOT TO BE RELIABLE as I spend time and money preping the truck and entering events none of the "sorry but I know you are on your way to the event but my budgy is sick / wife wont let me come" types need apply am based in Watford in herts and have a half decent truck and 7 years experience. My brother and I have done the challenger series for a few years (we are the idiots with the coach !!). Looking to do the challenger or LRS series this year so south east to midlands based people ideal , Oh and if you want to help prep the truck / load the bus and come up in the bus up then all good
Steve

Thank you guys for your kind words re our Win it is nice to know that if the truck holds together until near the end (20 mins) then we have a chance at a podium. A big thank you to my stand in co driver Dom for all his hard work and to Paul , Lucy and the marshals for their hard work . Any more pictures from anyone ?
Right spoken to First Four Offroad and what they call the ZF 74 flows about 6-7 litres per min compared to the standard of 4 l/min , doesn't fit a 300 tdi and now costs £325 + vat so that's a dead end
Thanks Fridge been looking at old threads on here and found a link to 4x4 winches selling what they call a ZF 74 pump for £189 which if its as super duper as people say isn't too bad when a genuine regular pump is £100 ish
Fridge I thought I saw a heavy duty one for sale on here a while back...any ideas am fed up with heavy or intermittent power steering so that was why I went for the hydro assist kit as the series I compete in wont (I think ) allow full hydro
I have a 300 tdi challenge truck with hydro assist steering and am suffering from poor steering assist (both before and after the hydro assist kit) I have replaced the steering box and the pump (twice) but I still suffer from power steering failure. I run 38.5 inch boggers at about 6 psi on the front and the power steering packed up about 2 hours into a challenge and came back and hour later only to go again. My question is can I get a heavy duty pump or do you have any other ideas as how to cure this
Thanks in Advance
Great day thanks to Paul,Lucy and all the marshals. A big thank you to Sean my stand in co driver who did very well for his first challenge and now will have a regular spot as my brothers co driver as the idiot who was supposed to did not show up
