  1. Thanks Headhunter just read the thread and am now up to speed. One question...I thought LRE were kicked off Billing due to the parks new management wanting more static caravans leaving them no option but to go somewhere else
  2. Nice Job ! and great pics One question..how did you get the pulley to drive the alternator as you must have removed most of the keyway when drilling the pulley One note of interest in why you only find serpentine drive type alternators with large current outputs is that to preduce more electrical energy out (ie current) you have to put more mechanical energy in (through drive belt) and the serpentine belt set up has a larger belt to pulley contact area. I have heard stories of high current v belt setups catching fire the belt got so hot
  3. should give your winch a great workout in most muddy holes (imagine the suction...ooher !!)
  4. Excuse my confusion (no pun intended) but whats this about 2 shows on the same weekend at Kelmarsh and Billing
  5. I sent an email to greenpeace asking for some of their "Land Rover Climate Change Criminal" stickers...one for each of my 3 Land Rovers and after a few days I recieved this reply We aren’t campaigning on this issue any more so have, unfortunately, run out. Maybe you could get one from here; http://www.stopurban4x4s.org.uk/shop.htm#parking Nice one
  6. My Brother has the same problem in his 90..bought a new cap and it still leaked, rubbed down the rust on the neck sealing surfaces, still leaked. added the old rubber seal on top of the new one..tight to put cap on but it doesnt leak anymore
  7. The reason I bought one was I needed a vehicle where I could stand at the rear of the vehicle and use a laptop on the rear pacel shelf without opening the rear door (because a telescopic mast is bolted on the tow bar) The electric boot window of the freelander made this possible. Damn I should have bought a Honda CRV but wanted to stay loyal to the green oval !
  8. Definately the freelander has my vote for the biggest pile of Sh*t on four wheels...bought one last week for my new business and so far I've had to do rear diff mount, plugs, leads, cap, rotor arm, 2 tyres coz the rears wear funny AND ITS BROKEN DOWN BOTH TIMES I HAVE DRIVEN IT. I've only had it a week and I HATE IT !!!
