hi guys! just a simple question! On my Disco td5 II 2004, if the air conditioner is set to OFF ,from the air out take for windshield the air is hot...just like if the temp control is set ON ( around 24-25°)..at the moment in Italy we don't need termoregulation Hi Hi! There's something wrong? what could I do? Thank!

... some friends of mine had the same matter...it could be some radio interference, as you know the back window could be open by the keyfob if you press it for 3-4 sec when the LRF is locked, you couln't close it by keyfob, only by key from the backdoor or open the driver door and push the button.

I found a little stone ringing inside the "little cup" on the front of intermedial exaust, it ring just like an broken steel of exaust pipe...it can't go out by itself! give a look when exaust is cold! ceers.

I did the same of Nomis21, yesterday,and today i move the FLR for a 4-5 KM. Nothing appears wrong, no noise,no bang or clank,...there is some advertising or mechanical problem to run in 2wd..is better if I don't move?

we spoke about this solution in an italian Land Rover Forum, and everybody wrote that this is a right way for boats not for cars... to let work the sacraficial anode you will put all the materials in a conductive liquid (water and salt)to perform just like a battery, anyway the study to position of anode is very difficult, there are a lot of test to calculate the right place of galvanic current!

..about ABS...I realized a simply circuit to disconect the ABS central unit, just a relè (normaly close)with a swicht that put it ON and so disconnect the power supply of ABS's electronic control,just to disconnect ABS service in O.R. so i can block the wheels. Naturally the HDC don't work. Someone told me that is better to reconnected the ABS electronic service (put the swicht off) whit keypanel is OFF. It's very interesting to use in a short discend when HDC is to long to drive you down. What do you think? P:S: I use it a very few times

what can you explain more about this??

I buyed my free by second hand when it had 64k km in 2005 (it's a 2000y), now it have 120k km and I've got a lot of noises, head gasket, water pump,rear diff,sunroof, but over this I love it a lot, it take me on a offroad trak at the same way of a disco and it running good on freeway (whet it's going well) I spend a lot of my freetime to work arond it...now it's time for a Disco but Free is a great light offroad.

I passed through the same way, after change the battery no more sound, but before I didn't suppose that the sound advertise me about the battery was going to dead,... Remember to change the battery in the second key too!!! After a bad experience with that now i have a new battery inside the car right to be replace!

when my key fob died (battery) i don't have any signal from the dash,i can only open the driver door and nothing more, at that moment I was without the code to unlock the car....I was very lucky, my brother give me the battery from his Discokey!

this was my first time OR..after that many more times...

I've just the same problem...I was starting for a meeting (650km from home)and I went to change the oil of front / rear differentials, few day after (250km later)i was on freeway,100-110km/h and the rear diff lost the oil,very bad situation,..ok after all...dismounting the diff, and the mechanical said: "it look not very good, but if it mine i try to change only the bearing (a set of 4)" For me it was OK and he did it. At the moment the diff give a bad noise, just like an bearing go wrong, and this I could understand, but it go very hot after few km ,not more than 10km and it's impossible to touch,more than the exaust on the back. At the moment I try to find a replace diff to mount, What do you think about the VCU bearing ?, can they do the noise that I hear? It's a Free 1,8 petrol, 2000,120k km.

..I know that the three amigos's problem is often by the sensor of ABS, dust & rust,expecialy on discovery on front right whell..no one explain why, but this is...

hi to all freelander's lovers, I am an italian freelander owner,and first of all I beg you pardom if my English is not good enough!!! my free is a 1.8 petrol 5Doors (xe) Actually I have a big problem with it...my rear diff,after a damage, was open to replace the "bearing" ,4 pieces,after remounting it gives a very bad noise, just like a 4 mud wheels runing fast, At the moment I m trying to find in the NET a new or better a reconditionated DIFF,...and I find it on E-bay, but the seller don't post in Europe..THERE IS SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME?
