  1. If anyone lands on this like I did, looking for info, Mk3 wide tracks (disk brake) have their couplings on the centreline of the chassis, earlier ones (drum brake) have it on the top...
  2. Hi folks, I know that most people want to tweak the fuelling to get a little more oomph, but I want to go back to factory settings so that I know what has been done & where to return it to if it all goes horribly not very right. My 200 tdi (ex-Disco) motor has had someone fiddling about inside the pump, so I have no idea what the vernier wheel or diaphragm stop settings are meant to be. The offset-cone boost compensation isn't a problem, as it's a little bit obvious where it should be pointing. In a moment of high comedy, the local-ish diesel centre gave me some old flannel about needing to put it on a flow bench to set it up. Maybe for race tuning, but back in the real world there will either be a 'number of turns' or distance standard setting for these. Oh, and I wouldn't be £250 lighter in the pocket either... See? I said it was 'high' comedy! Does anybody know what the factory settings are please? Thanks, Myles
  3. I know this is an old thread but in case others are looking for info (like I was - this is a really useful post - thanks JCW), I have just done this with a Rebel 4x4 guard. Again, no instructions, but it is identical, from what I can see. The two allen screws that hold the bash plate to the inner bracket are a b'stard to align. Those horrible little M6 ones in the second picture were about my easiest fix. I made two square nuts out of some 25x6 flat bar and wound M6 hex screws up from underneath. Of course, this would have been easier if I had remembered to do it before I put the bash plate on...
