One of the easiest ways to tell a 300Tdi engine from a 200Tdi is the belt at the front of the engine.
A 300Tdi has a single serpentine belt driving the PAS pump, alternator and water pump/fan. Whereas a 200Tdi has two separate belts, 1 drives the alternator and the coolant pump/fan, the other drives the PAS pump.

21L is a Discovery 300Tdi engine, so still a Turbo diesel but with direct injection

19J coolant tempsenders are PRC2505 upto engine 19J25183C
or
PRC6663 from 19J25184C
first one needs adaptor ERC9432 & washer 10802070.
These are no others listed for this engine in parts book.

Oil pressure switch wire course are White with a brown stripe
Fuel shutoff solenoid should be White with a black stripe

I have that gauge & it's matching 5/8 unf sender in my 200Tdi, gauge directly connected to sender, it works fine.

Is the engine to chassis earth cable intact & in good order.

Just remember screw in towing eyes on most vehicles are to tow on level roads slowly in a straight line, not for pulling the end of a car sideways as it can strip the threads & bend the eye shank.

My current R380 came from Ashcroft, a few years ago, other alternative is Beaumont 4x4 my current transfer box cam from the, both have been fine.

Replace the valve stem seals if you haven't done them, could be a stuck piston ring.

Use longer bolts & spacer tubes to shift the tank inboard so it's lower face clears the dampers

I went 020 thou oversize on my engine rebuild, it was just enough to remove some dark shadows from the bores.

Here are the photos of the Repower kit info, the photos show a grey or silver engine block, but mine was definitely gold as can be seen in my 200Tdi rebuild thread.

I have the slickshift on my R380 & it does reduce the gearlever movement provided the bias spring is correctly set up.

I have a 200Tdi repower kit flyer at home, I will add a photo when I get home from work later, it has a photo of the gold painted block on it, my engine was factory fresh in 1994, so that's good enough for me.

My 200tdi repower kit engine was gold when new & I repainted it gold with VHT spray paint at the rebuild I did nearly 7 years ago.

If charge red light 9n when engine is running or off, the alternator has a internal fault.
