    I have a 10 spline arb diff rd56 I believe it's the 6 bolt housing one it's in mint condition but what I would like to know is can I just change the side gears to convert it to a 24 spline diff ??

    Hi I need new engine and gearbox mounts for my d90 200tdi but the Only ones I can find are made by allparts are they any good ? Or do you Know where I can get some good ones need them asap as mine are Not even in 1 peace thanks

    my alternator is on its way out so i think its time for a upgrade but whats the best / easy one to fit also will i need to upgrade the wires to the alternator where would be the best place to go many thanks

    if it was a cross the bores it would have 2 cylinders low on compression

    you can do it but dont put to much oil in and turn it over first with out tester or glowplug in

    if they are to tight it will have low compression also did you do a dry and wet compression test ?? if you did what was the wet reading on cyl 3 ?

    cylinder number 3 is to low thats why you have smoke and a missfire have you checked the rockers / push rods on cyl 3 ?

    i would take the rocker cover off and check the rockers on cyl 3 next also when you cracked of the injectors was fuel coming out of number 3 injector pipe??

    i have fitted quite a bit of britpart bits to my d90 ie water pump rad parking brake shoes wheel bearings hub sills been on for over a year and 20k miles with no faults at all (I MUST BE JUST LUCKY )

    ive had a britpart alloy with plastic end caps in my 200tdi now for about 1.5years with no faults at all

    i have just got a 300tdi disco and it looks like my axles are diffrent ie on my front i have a plastic cap and on the rear i dont is this correct ?

    just swop over all the parts ie timing chest turbo manifolds etc

    thanks for the info so the best bet is for me to messure the dia of the pistons so if 41mm early type and if 46mm late type

    i dont have any numbers ie chassis or axle numbers thats my problem i have
