  3. It looks like i need to replace my power steering belt on my 1991 200 TDI Defender 90. Its squealing when i am on full lock and the belt looks a bit slack. I bought a new belt this morning hoping there would be some pictures in the technical archive to show me how to replace it but I cant find any. Is it a difficult job as im a novice at the mechnical stuff to be honest? Can i do it myself? Can anyone talk me through it or give me some tips please? Will i need any special tools? Appreciate any advice. Regards JCB
  4. Couple of questions i need answered please if i wanted to replace the roof on my Defender 90 to one without a sunroof. 1. How difficult a job is it? 2. How long would it take and is it a two man job? 3. What tools would i need / sealants? Are there any threads with pictures of this job being done on the site? Any experienced advice appreciated. Cheers James
  5. I'm in Northwich Cheshire Luke. Thanks for all the replies. James
  6. Problem solved. I took the grill off in the end as it ws stuck fast. Greased everything up and its fine now. Thanks for all the help. James
  7. I was wondering, as i'm having some issues with my lights etc, plus i'd like some spot lights fitted and maybe a roof bar with lights also. How much would a full re-wiring cost for my 90 200tdi. What would i expect to pay for the lights to have a general overhaul and both sets of spots fitted? Although i can change and fit new lights no issue, i would never attempt a wiring job or the fitting of spots. I would want them linked to a separate switch? Any pointers on costs for the above would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. James
  8. thanks for the suggestions / advice guys. will have another crack at it tomorrow. James

  11. The bonnet is stuck on my 1991 Defender 90 200 TDI. Its happened before and i managed to get it open but not this time. The bonnet release cable seems to be the issue as the catch under the bonnet is moving fine. Any suggestions. Cheers James

  13. Forgot to say also that the entire floor and wheel arches in the rear cab is chequer plated! Can't see any slots? James
  14. Just went to fit my new rear bench seats and there is no fitting instructions in with them? I purchased the black vinyl ones from Paddock's. As i've not done this before i could do with a diagram really to guide me along. Can anyone email me one if they've got one? There are two small black brackets with an angled bit on them, what are they for as i can't work it out by looking at them? Anyway, any help would be appreciated as usual. Regards James
