  1. I tried to strip the lock apart as there are a couple of small solenoids that control the locking mechanism but couldn't get it apart. I ended up changing the lock assembly.
  2. Hi, I've just renewed the rear ARB link arms on my D2. It has ACE and air susp, is there any thing I need to do to reset the system after it pulled one of the new links apart or have I succumbed to buy cheap buy twice??? The ARB is now out of alignment with the ACE actuator how do I get the ARB to reposition to get the link to fit again, do I need to disconnect the system or will it move when the engine is running?

  4. Hi, Just fitted a second hand ACE pump after mine gave up the ghost. I'm now struggling to refit the aux belt, can anyone offer any advice? Cheers
  5. Its the same make we use in the Army on the Land Rover Wolf if that helps. Ours very rarely fail
  6. Do you know if the Disco has had a new drag link or drag link ball joints. If it has and not been set up correctly then this would probably be the cause of the tyre wear.
  7. I would try a proper Air Con company to check and re gas system. Halfords are great for many things, but better off with a specialist for something like the air con.
  8. I've been having the same noises from my TD5 too. I'm not taking any chances and renewing the spigot bearing, clutch assembly and the gearbox 1st motion shaft bearing and seal. Can anyone recommend a manufacturer or ones to avoid for the clutch? Cheers The Pogue
  9. Hi, I have a very similar problem and has gradually got worse over the last 6 months since owning the car. I'm taking no chances and renewing clutch assembly, spigot bearing and probably the 1st motion shaft bearing and seal. Can anybody recommend a clutch manufacturer or ones to avoid? Cheers The Pogue
  10. The heated seat fault is a dodgey connector in to a black relay box under the seat, fiddled about and it started clicking as I operated the switch. Haven't found the fault with the screen yet, but there's power to the connectors either side and a good earth on both sides so I'm guessing the screen, but would have though one side would have failed an not both, but who knows. Are there any connectors onto the screen under the plastic scuttle panel where the wipers fit? Cheers Pogo
  11. Hi Guys, I've recently bought my D2 TD5 and its losing coolant, are there any common areas for failing and causing leaks. I looked under neath and I could see cooloant drips on the passenger side near to the front (if it helps) Any help would be great. Cheers Pogo
  12. Hi, I have a '99 TD5 with 167000 on the clock. I have noticed that the drivers heated seat switch light comes on but the seat doesn't warm up. Is this a faulty relay or more likely a seat fault? The rest of the electrics work on the seat. I think its a similar thing with the front screen too. Any advice would be great. Top site!!
