The oil pump will not self prime so will not pressurise the hydraulic lifters. You need to remove the oil pump cover and fill the gaps around the pump gears with vaseline. Do not use grease. This will prime your pump, the hydraulic tappets will open the valves and it should run as good as it looks.

Hello again, it was minus 4 celcius this morning and I have discovered my front windscreen doesnt defrost. The screen has power to both sides of the screen and my test light lights up when linked between the screen earth wires and earth. I have cleaned the earth point and still the screen wont defrost. Does anyone have any ideas? Tim.

Hello, I have a 1999 P38 4.6HSE. Can I fit my Parrot hands free to this? There seems to be some reports that it doesnt work with the Harmon Kardon head unit. Does anyone have any first hand experience of this? Many thanks in advance, Tim.
