hi
i have 265/75 kl71's
but i have had to cut the rear arches to accomodate and have a 2" lift.
it is possible to have these without the lift as i did it but a very large 'trim' is necessary.
camel cut and 2" lift works just nicely and would recommend
cheers

Hi
Was wondering if anyone knew about any decent green lanes in the peaks, preferably close to chappelgate, stanage edge and houndkirk moor?
Is there any websites anywhere that show where green lanes are?
Thanks
Adam
Hi
I've just replaced front drivers hub, stub axle and bearing only to find a knocking when on full lock turning right.
I have been advised that it is the cv joint.
How do I change this?
Is it a big job to do, expensive and time consuming?
Cheers
Adam
When cutting the welded bearing out, lado didn't realise he was also cutting in to the axle.
So it just worked out cheaper and maybe easier if you saw the state
of the axle.
Thanks for the help so far.
Hi
I managed to completely destroy my drivers wheel bearing yesterday and after a good friend 'noggy' tried to remove it along with the hub, we found out it had welded itself together.
We have resorted to buying a new axle as when we finally got it out the hub was not looking good/reusable.
So this may have been the cheapest option.
Could anyone please help with telling us the best way to swap the axles.
Is there an easy way to do it or will it just include lots of swearing.
Help is needed as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Adam.
After reading this topic I have decided that I'll get myself into the minus figures for the month to get these tyres instead of the runway enduro A/T
Thanks

hi
i have a 1995 300tdi 5 door riscovery
i am fitting a 2 inch lift to it soon i hope, and i'm wanting to fit 265/75/r16 size tyres.
will i need to cut out or trim my arches so that the wheels fit nicely and not scrape with full articulation?
if i do need to cut my arches, how do i do this on the back with it being a 5 door model? i'm quite sure the front will be an easy job.
thanks

Hi
I'm wanting to get either a 2 or 3" lift kit for my disco 1 basically so that it looks better, perfroms better and i can fit bigger tyres.
Is it an easy job to do? And worth doing ourselves?
Can you recommend any decent kits, that aren't stupidly overpriced.
Cheers
thanks for all the advice
i have checked all the fuses and they seem to be ok.
couldn't see any obvious problems so its going into a local garage tomorrow unfortunately :/
and as for the windows i'll look at the tech archives
thanks for the help

hi
just bought a discovery 1995 300tdi
the heater does not work, is this a common fault and would it be easy to fix? i think it might be the fans. no air is coming through at all.
also it has electric windows all round, but the two on the drivers side don't work? what could be wrong with this? would this also be an easy fix?
thanks
