  1. on my standard 8274 i can get 125ft of 12mm, which fills it right up to the top of the drum, iirc simon buck uses 150ft of 11mm on his front winch

  3. brake fluid makes the seals swell up its a top bodge on leaking PAS box's to get them through an MOT
  4. Does anyone know what the length of a standard front radius arm is? Also wondering what the measurement is from the radius arm bracket to the centre of the axle Cheers
  5. i normally use a blunt electrical screwdriver & lots n lots of washing up liquid makes it easyer to force it in the hole
  6. if you speak to JE engineering they will supply you with the studs you requires along with the washers which allow slight movement on the manifold

  8. I've been using yorkshire van breakers on ebay for bits for my pug boxer n they have been spot on, there phone no is on there ebay auctions, normally phone n check what they have instock n order

  10. i would also check the valve clearances as i had that on a disco 200 tdi & the covers that the rockers run on had worn away & increased the size o the clearance
  11. I used a turbo n inlet manifold from a disco in my 90 when I converted it ti an auto using a disco 200tdi n auto box
  12. Put the disco engine in place on the defender engine ounts n use a 300 tdi turbo n inlet manifold assembly as it fits a lot easier n the pipework is much neater n more straightforwad
  13. ive run 125ft or 11mm plasma & 12mm dyneema, ropes always washed after an event & hung out to dry & kept in the house, so far the dyneema has lasted better than the plasma, i currently get approx 1 year of use from a rope before it goes in the bin but normally get 3/4 events on the front & 2/3 events on the rear
  14. 300 pumps are a straight fit on 200's as I've had one on my 200tdi for last year or so

  17. as everyone else has said, replace the idler & tensioner when my timing belt broke it was waaaaay worse than that inside but it was the tensioner that had died, rebuilt it all with all new bits inc britpart tensioner (Doh) & it lasted 150 miles (muddytruckers 09) before the tensioner was dead again, replaced it with a gen one & all good if i can find the pic of inside my timing cover i'll post them, was almost a timeline of events i did in 08 with tong clay on top also id strongly advise replacing the front cover seal as thats where the water n carp gets in even you have the wading plug in
