Hi dose anyone know if a 200tdi disco starter will fit a 200tdi defender engine?? It's just the disco one I've got from a friend looks a lot bigger than the one fitted to my defender. Thanks for any help.

Thanks western Yes I have adjusted the push-rod as per the manual but it's still the same. Both cylinders are OEM parts as well. ??

Hi have just changed the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and flexy pipe. All bled through ok. Now the pedal seems a lot harder than before and the bite point is right at the top of the pedal. Any advise on what to check? And the vehicles a defender 90 200tdi Thanks for any help

I know for truck MOTs the drivers seat must be able to move forwards and backwards and the back has to be adjustable as well or it will fail.

Hello. My rear main seal started leaking today so I will be changing it tomorrow Q1. What is the torque setting for the fly wheel bolts and are they reusable? Q2. Any tips for doing the job? Thanks Dave

Hello my keys and barrels are very worn out so I'm looking to change them. I've read somewhere you can fit the newer type keys to a 1993 defender, I was planing on changing the three doors and the ignition. Dose anyone know if you can upgrade the keys and if so what are the part numbers for the parts ill need. Thanks Dave

Another vote for Adrian flux. I got my 90 when I was 18 I'm now 21 and they have always been the cheapest. Get yourself a lro mag and phone the company's in the back of that and if your going to start modifying your 90 I personally wouldn't bother phoning the likes of direct line elephant ect because they don't have a clue. ( I tried explaining to them what a winch was and I had to hang up in the end)

Started fine tonight with my old injectors in so will send the others away to get checked again. Thanks for your help guys.

Cracked off the injectors but they were all the same. I've refitted my old glow plugs and injectors and will see what it's like after work tonight.

Yes new glow plugs and the light comes on and goes off so I'm assuming they are working. Will get the multimeter out tomorrow and check.

Evening all. Last week I did the head gasket on my 200tdi and now in the morning when I start the engine it runs rough until I blip the throttle a few times then its ok. It starts straight away and when it's warmed up there's no problems. I had the head pressure tested and skimed, new set of injectors and a recon turbo. Any one had this before?

Hello im going to do my head gasket next week and the bit of paper with the new gasket says the torque is 40nm 60• 60• is that correct and is it the same for all of the bolts as there are two different sizes. The engines a defender 200tdi.
