  1. Totaly agree with monkeyboy, i posted earlier that id got a load of vaseline that ive filled the gap around the glass n rubber ans smear it around the joint where the sunroof cartridge touches the painted roof, no more leaks!!!! bets to go to a pound shop n get a big pot, its also means in the good weather you can try the headlining out fix. silicon just dries up n cracks, id say that a boat rubber sealnt would be best, try a yacht chandlers.
  2. I found the rear ends when i had bulb failures in my rear upper lights, taking out the light unit reveals the pipes, one of which emptied directly over an electrical connector (way to go LR ) The front ones emtpy at the bottom of the a pillar although i havent found the ends, the pipes are viewable if you remove the A pillar covers internally. Do what i did, cover the sunroofs in vaseline and around the joint with the car roof and wait until the waether is good enough to take the roff liner out
  3. I can report that so far its still dry even with all the snow and the ice that melted on top so even if its just a fix until some dry weather to do the sunroof removal (which looks fiddly) its been worthwhile. but i will keep you posted
  4. Having had a Disco 2 that has its own rain inside and having to replace the radio due water damage . I have a dry interior. I was given a tip to try vaseline, not just a small amount but lots, enough to fill around the glass. It is like using a silicon except it is more flexible. i also smeared it at the joint between the frame and the roof. pressing the metal of the roof i noticed it flexed away from the sunroof frame so water will be 'sucked' in under it(cpt tollys didnt work for me ) i made sure i pushed it under the gap and hey presto no interior rain. It does take a lot of vaseline i bought 8 small pots from makro and used 6 and a half. Itts worth a try, im just waiting to see how it performs in the cold but having it dry even after one bout of rain is a result.
  5. having just had a problem with my D2 i would advise changing the leads asap, however due to the way LR made them the coil packs are under the inlet manifold, ifound this out due to the car juddering, the leads were failing and the engine mangement system compensated, this burnt out the coil packs, to change them the garage had to remove the manifold, the leads have clips on them at the coil end, how thiey work i dont know, but i know the coils leads and plugs cost me nearly £600 to get done, so change the plugs too if you can get to the leads to change them
