  1. can anyone help me please, on my disco 2 the axle ball joints are siezed and make a terrible sound when steering. can i buy a removal/instalation tool to get the joints out and back in as they look a pressed fit, also am i best doing the axle seal at the same time. answers on a postcard!!! lol
  2. ah i see, i also had another look around the pump area and still no visible numbers, could they be around the turbo/inlet area as there is a machined area there with xx on it?

  5. can anyone help me please, my disco auto is intermitant in selecting reverse. sometimes it goes in fine then all of a sudden with no warning, nothing. if you play from reverse to drive eventually it works again. i have replaced filter and oil for new and a bit unsure. when it dose select reverse it dose so with a definate action so not lazy in take up of gear?

  9. cant believe how close we was to 3rd place. and with no power steering and 31" tyres. i recon a trophey would have been in my mitts if there was no cheating!!

  11. hi all yet again i am comming to the guru's of landys for help and advise and for this i thank you. my td5 auto dosnt like towing my truck this is a shame as thats its job!!lol when in normal driving or even in sport mode the overheat light stays off but as soon as its got my challenge truck hanging off her she insists on telling me how hot she is my q is. is it just a fact that the oil coolers are way to small for towing purpases and if so what is the answer as i cant seem to find replacement oversized coolers as a direct replacement as i dont want to go too big and have the box too cold on normal runs? peeeeees help me before i fall out with it. its a shame as i love me landys

  14. ok with most wireing done i have one plug left. its white and has 6 leeds from it. the colours are;- white with black tracer. green purple red with green tracer green with brown tracer brown with green tracer can anyone please help with what they connect to.
  15. ok a bit of heads up. i have been in touch with a landy tech. he said that there are 3 different wiper gears, the widest sweep being 120 degrees so he is getting me one and il let you know what difference it makes
  16. next sunday hull 4x4 are going green laning around scarborough and whitby bay. there are some real nasty serious stuff around them there parts
  17. so i take its its td5? if yes it is harder but if you can put a mud pod in then thats the easiest way, i put a single din in my mud pod with flip out screen. worked well but found it a bit low and cought the gear stick if c hanging gears fast off road.
  18. tried it on a wet screen as well, theres no slack in the cable and they are brand new wheel box's. its a chew
  19. hi all can anyone shead some light on my problem. im just building a 100 inch truck and im into the wireing areas of life now and wondered why my wipers dont clear the whole screen iv taken the motor to bits and its fitted with a 115 degree wheel box can i get a bigger degree one as the drivers side stops when vertical? here is a pic of my truck so far

  21. has sold the 90 to fund finishing the challenge truck. so now i have to push bike 11 miles to work, not fun

  22. could it be something as simple as brake pads in the callipers??? i have had this before on old callipers worn on the face that the pads sit in and they chatter on the inner part of the disc that mounts on the hub?? just a thought and prob worth a look and some fresh copper slip plonked on
