All very interesting,might see if I could get in touch with the man who built them to see if he could identify it as one of his,not that it really matters just has gripped my interest,they seem to command a reasonable amount of money if you can find one for sale

Yeah similar,from what I’ve seen the back end looks a bit different a bit more like this

A friend has found what he has been told is a “muddler” as in a trials vehicle with Land Rover running components,we’ve got absolutely no knowledge of them (didn’t know they existed) however a quick forum search says a few of you guys may know more A few first questions: 1.has any one got any photos of what one looks like 2.whats the value of one (good to bad) 3.when where the created and how many? if any of those questions can be answered we’d be extremely grateful Cheers

Having never bled an auto gearbox before I didn't know if I was missing a trick in how to bleed the system,turns out it was just I missed the slot on the valve block body to align the selector...you live and learn I guess

Loos like the linkage under the valve block wasn't aligned properly locking it into first gear..I'll finish it tomorrow and hopefully update with good news

Went to change the kick down cable on my 300tdi discovery changed the cable new filter etc all back together however no matter what gear I select it's trying to drive forwards even in park however in park the gearbox does lock it from moving but you can see the wheels trying to turn? Is this a bleeding issue or have I done something wrong? thanks

Thanks for the reply I've got 4 yellow relays one black bigger relay above that and that's all I can find in the passenger footwell

I've got my MOT due and trying to cure the ABS fault light I've bridged the pins on the 16pin diagnostic plug but the light stays on constant doing a search on the forum seems to indicate I need to remove the ABS relay to get a flash code? Any one have any ideas where the relay is or looks like? Vehicle is a 1997 discovery 300tdi manual Thanks!

Any ideas if both motors should move only the top one moves a little then clicks like its Slipping on the plastic teeth bottom stays exactly the same no noise

So I'm currently on the hunt for the blend motors I dropped the trim below the fan motor and have found 2 block connectors dangling,any ideas if there's and connection between them and my fault or just For a higher spec model?thanks

Hoping someone can shed some light on a fault I've got, The heater is stuck on windscreen and feet,I can change it on the screen but makes no difference is there a motor I should be hunting Thanks!

Cheers for the replays chaps,you are indee all correct in the fact it bent all push rods and broke a rocker..as for the timing would I be correct in saying line the bottom up with the mark in (arrow) on the back case then the fuel pump can be pinned up but how do I know if the camshaft is 180 out? Sorry if this is a stuipid question

So unfortunately timing belt has broken on my 300tdi but was just wondering what The best route of timing everything back up is? Thanks

Cheers for the advice chaps, It stopped working at an event had been using it then one hole flicked it in and compressor just runs and can hear air through the breather pipe

Just before I take it out could any one shed any light on what could be a possible problem? Went to engage my locker and air is hissing through the breather pipe and air locker is not engaging? Any one had this before?
