  1. Genuine can’t be beaten for fit and quality, but daft price. Close second for VFM are the Bearmach versions, nearly as soft but much cheaper. The Britpart ones were shocking, too thick......not enough ‘squish’ and useless in the cold.
  2. https://www.lrparts.net/catalog/product/view/id/2804/ Doh - this one?

  4. Wahey, i’ve bought another Defender.......it’s a project😧

It’s now finished and for sale😟

  5. Two options: 1) Make the edges ragged and turned in, burn it it a bit and call it shell damage? 2) more practical, use the bit you cut out for the new hole mounted on a backing plate to fill the old one, rivet bondo and paint Voila!
  6. The OEM Multichanger in my '02 Disco is an Alpine, Model XQE100240 - a few on eBay for not much dosh. Might help you find a plug n play option?
  7. I chopped and re-welded the wing outer fitting (mantec) on my 200tdi 90 so it was pointing at '12:00clock' - two rubber lined pipe clips on the roll cage and it's like it grew there! Took the trouble of feeding a single length of flexi hose from the air filter through the wing and up into the snorkel pipe - watertight! Removes problem of a leaky seal where the wing fitting clamps on. Will grab a pic if you want it....
  8. Broken front prop - bugger!

  9. No Probs - just so you know, these are the +2" versions. I'll pop them in the marketplace - let me know if you change your plans F
  10. As promised Pairs of TF116 & TF117 taken of a 90 which had a 40mm lift - ran for 800 miles mostly on road with no issues at all. Only grumble being teh paint finish not being teh most resilient, where teh springs have rubbed its flaked off (when I jetwashed them!) so the dark patches are Kurust. They may need a tart up if vanity is your thing! Only removed to fit +6" Shocks on a flexkit, otherwise they would still be doing the job.. Let me know if you want them...
  11. I'm up in Warwick, but in Bicester quite often. I'll get a couple of pix up later
  12. Ben Got a set of 4 6mth old Terrafirma shocks for a 110 spare if your interested - done 800miles of road use.
  13. I did, it was great in the wet/loose - but plugged up with mud and was a sod to wash out!
  14. I've run Recip Trial in 265/70/16 size - off road I can,t fault them and have towed out others with less aggressive patterns. On road they are noisy, but less than some - good wear rate though. In terms of safety, trucks and aircraft wear retreads - so I'm happy. Hope that helps?
  15. Ring this man and the scales shall fall from your eyes! http://www.mibcomponents.co.uk/ And the sister company next door fit them; http://indigo.xilo.net/~landrove/reborn/index.php
  16. MIB Components in Warwick, they fit and are well fabricated!
  17. I have a '91 200tdi90 with an LT77 'box. In the last 12mths it's eaten 2 speedo drive cables and a speedo head, now the replacement speedo is becoming hopelessly inaccurate. What do I need (and is it possible) to fit a TD5 speedo? Thanks peeps!
  18. Have a look at this tyre size calculator http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Sidewall height is a percentage of the tyre tread width - so can vary wildly! Buy one tyre to match existing, puts it beyond doubt!
  19. Possibly true, like all things with a Landie - leak equals money, just a question of delaying the inevitable In my case 2yrs, no drip, no problem, but one day.....!
  20. Mine were leaking oil, drained them (pushed out the dregs with an airline) replaced with one shot grease and bingo! - no more leak. If was still coming out then new seals would be the next and more complicated solution.
  21. So..had a rummage behind the gauge and took light out to see if it was fouling anything - nope. So final question to those that may have been this way before - If the boost gauge reads -.5Bar with engine off, is it possible to reset to zero? (can't see any obvious screw adjuster) Failing a fix it's refund time Thanks!
  22. It was re-timed and the pump tweaked on Friday, so might be boosting a bit more than standard (although I'm advised it will not go off like a grenade!) Will see if the light is too far in the hole!! Cheers
  23. Thanks Western - sounds like a pup then. Right range of reading, just wrong starting point....
