Thanks It is an early one 1999 I have removed the cover plate from it in situ and the play does appear to be on the inner bearing as I can see the movement when I push on the driveshaft I hope to get the unit off next week,But was hopeing some one would have info on setting up the axle when I rebuild it ie torqe settings and preload settings I havent worked on one for about 30 years (when Haynes Manuals gave info like that)

Because there is exssesive movement in the end of the drive shaft (off side) and oil has leaked from both oil seals (near side shaft has no movement.

Has any one done any repairs to one or have any info on then I think that there must be bearings in them for the output shafts and think mine has collapsed and am wondering if I can do the repairs on it.
