  1. Ryan, I agree the PRE-FACELIFT model fog lamps DO come as a kit. BUT !!! The MY04 ..... DOES NOT...... When LR built the 2004 model, you needed to order the fog lamps (as shown in the photos above) as a factory fit, as there are two different type of bumper. Now there is a fog lamp & a driving lamp kit (you CAN'T fit both) for the 2004 model ...... BUT these sit either side of the grille on the black plastic (not the colour-toned) portion of the bumper.......... more central than outside. I hope this helps.
  2. Just found this on eBay ........... why bother with all that work ??? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item415d55f695 ..... it was not worth it ...... if you want a Saxo/Clio//206 .....buy one !!
  3. I once saw this one ...... and it is made to a very high standard. The pics are all over the place, but if you 'assemble' them in order, you can see what a great trailer it is. http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=3357&page=1
  4. Try this website. http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/index.php Scroll down to 'Off Road trailers' or 'CT Trailers' (as in Cargo Trailers.) I built this one ..... http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44261 and rebuilt it to this .... http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44262 and now finally (until I have another thought) ..... this one.... http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44263 there are many more pics in the links above. This trailer has two slide-outs ....1 for the bed ..... the other for the seat area. This trailer has appeared at many a Land Rover Show.
  5. The answer is ..... If you have the 3 door Freelander and you have the SoftBack (canvas hood) is the 'Little Red Key' that acts as a socket thumb spanner to fit the SoftBack. Looks like this ....
  6. Beware, if you convert your Freelander to 2WD, you will need to change the V5 to read 2WD. Also your insurance is for a 4x4 .... you don't want them not to pay out ... should the worse happen ....... and they are always looking for 'get out' clauses. Beware ...... be .. very .... aware !!!
  7. Your 12V 2nd battery will not survive more than 24Hrs ...... unless you re-charge it daily. I attend Billing each year and I have a 3-way (Gas/12V/240V) fridge. Gas is the only way if you intend to use it for 2-ish weeks and stay static. The fridge will need to be well ventilated.
  8. Well Done Jason !! I am expecting to see this finished for the Gaydon show (2011 ?) I have built another slide-out on my trailer, which allows for an internal seat area and a 'dual access' kitchen (access from inside and outside the van). Hope to see you at gaydon ? Colin
  9. It's recently been on eBay for around £14,000 !!! with the reg D4NCA .......
  10. ...... and I have found his girlfriend ....
  11. Jason, How is the trailer going on ??? It has been 2 months since you posted . Will it be there for 2011 ???
  12. Hi, I had the same problem some years ago on my X reg Freelander. The 15" 5 spoke wheels you have are for the pre-vented disc hubs. These alloys are called aventure. When LR moved over to vented disc (around 2000 MY) and larger brake callipers, they changed the wheel to 6 spoke ... still called aventure. The hub on your earlier vehicle is slightly too big for the 6 spoke alloys. as for boring them out ..... I wouldn't ! The 'drill-outs' around the PCD of the wheel were to denote wheels for vented disc/larger calliper. You will find these drill-outs on 15" / 16" and 17" alloys. I hope this helps
  13. It is not possible to remove the rear tailgate door card ....... when the rear tailgate door is closed. For the 3 dr you can remove the hard top / soft back ....... that releases the rear screen. For the 5 dr you need to remove the 3 part plastic frame around the rear screen. DO NOT pull hard at the taigate handle as these do tend to break very easily !!
  14. I had a similar problem with a CD autochanger some time ago. Eject the CD cartridge. Unplug the DIN connector to the rear of the unit wait 30 seconds Re-plug in the DIN connector Re-insert the CD cartridge (with at least one CD in it) That should cure it ????? (hope so)
  15. The calibration procedure is completed as follows: 1. Ensure the tail door is closed, the vehicle unlocked and the alarm disarmed. 2. On three door models, ensure the roof is on (hard back) or lowered and secured (softback). 3. With the ignition on, use the console switch or the vehicle key in the tail door lock to raise the window until the motor stalls with the window fully closed. 4. Switch off the ignition. NOTE: If the calibration procedure is unsuccessful, the CCU will sound a warning for approximately 0.8 seconds and fully lower the window. Good Luck
