  1. Thanks about the link! I have tried two different old Zeniths and both had the same problem. Engine stalled every time when I braked to stop or turn. Otherwise the carbs were working fine. After fixing the carb everything seems to work fine
  2. Good point. Maybe I'll just live with current reading. & thanks steve b
  3. I measured engine temp yesterday and that was perfectly OK. I guess I'll have to put some resistor on the temp sensor wire to calibrate the gauge. Or I could also just try to live with it...
  4. Thanks guys. I guess I'll anyway check the engine running temperature just to make sure. Up here in cold Finland I like the engine to run bit warmer
  5. Before changing the temperature was barely on the normal. And when driving on city in hot day it raised bit over mid poit. This made me think that the thermostat was stuck open. Thermostat is 82 and the engine is 2.25 petrol.
  6. I recently bought a Series III (-75 109" STW) for daily use (some of my friends did not understand this ). There has been lots of ugly things to fix due to the fact that there has been several "not so caring" owners during over 30 years Yesterday I changed thermostat as the engine did not warm up well. Now the temperature rises nicely, but the temperature aggoring to the gauge looks pretty high. Otherwise everything seems to be perfectly fine (temperature does not rise from that, heater works fine etc.), so I guess it's harmless but annoying. Does anyone have a clue, why this happends? And here's picture from my "Solihull collection" (RR -87 EFI & LR -75 SIII STW).
