  1. Try here for an ABS modulator mailto:discovery2parts@supanet.com
  2. I would suggest the technical section of the D2 boys club
  3. You got it I was thinking of the Brazilian unit but could not remember who made it. LRO fitted one in 1 of there test disco's so there should be a write up on it somewhere.
  4. There is a 2.8 engine available I think it is Iveco? that is modelled on the 300tdi lump that will go straight in without any mods, the TD5 is all electronic so you would have to change wiring loom aswell as the fuel tank and pump as it has a high pressure system.
  5. Had alook on the D"boys club forum and found this post My link Hope this helps
  6. Hi I would ask the same question in the tech section of the D2boys clubMy link someone on there will definately be able to answer your question
  7. I have noticed a slight drop in the revs ie when doing 60mph the difference is about 250rpm so for only a few minutes work I think it is worth it
  8. I bought mine from MM4x4 18 months and 10000+ miles ago and have not had any problems since
  9. I am due to collect my 1998 1.8 3 door Freelander tonight.I have serious withdrawal symptons since my Td5 Disco died so when I was offered a cheap Freelander I jumped in feet first. What have I done.
  10. If you are only using for greenlaning I would only put 2" lift on this paired with a good set of tyres will get you almost every where with out any problems.I have had 3 disco's now and only ever lifted 2" and paired with 265 75 16 tyres.
  11. If you are certain that you want a 2" lift I would go with the Terrafirma kit as I have heard that this is a really good kit
  12. My temp gauge does a similar thing but it does it all the time when you first start up and run for a short distance the gauge stays in the bottom quater but when you go a bit further it shoots straight upto the middle i have presumed this was happening when my thermostat opens and the engine was at normal temp.To add mine does not have climate control just a normal heater.
  13. I have a 1999 D2 which has had a BCU problem ever since I have had it,I have to remove the fuse that is for the permanent live for the radio, clock and interior light, for some reason this allows me to use my blippers to lock and unlock the car.If I put the fuse back in the blippers do not work and the key will only unlock the drivers door. The only downsides are you have no interior light until you turn the ignition on and the clock and radio code need resetting everytime. It is worth a try if only to get you going again.
  14. I am running a td5 with a 60mm block lift and 265/75/16 cooper stt's and it looks quite good(or at least I think it does)
  15. I also had issues with water although I went a bit deeper (the back wave washed over my bonnet),the problem is the ecu getting wet I would check to see if you are getting any water up through the inner wing under the ecu.
  16. I did the same on my 200tdi a few years ago it had the syptoms as you have described. I simply moved the pipe from the damper to the slave cylinder problem solved.
  17. I got £48 for 300tdi cat 2 months ago at my local scrappy
  18. Just an idea but have you thought about oil pressure if it is slightly low temperature will rise when under load because not enough oil circulating, but under normal conditions temp is fine.I only ask as when I lost oil pressure on my td5 I was asked if the temperature gauge shot up,this would happen due to friction caused by lack of oil.
  19. It costs about £180 a corner as I found out when I had to replace one,Get new hub nuts as well I had to split mine to get it off.
  20. Verdict engine has no oil pressure at all and turbo blown,Disco is now parked at my parents awiating funds and time.I am having to use a pug 205 now.
  21. It is a 1999 with 180000 miles on the clock but even with the problem the engine still sounded sweet. It was being looked at yesterday by my local 4x4 garage so hopefully I will get some news today.
  22. Its parked up but is being towed to the garage later today
  23. Hi I was wondering if anybody on here can help,I was driving home from work today and noticed my oil warning light flashing. It was only a short drive but by the time I got home it had gone into limp mode and the light is on continuiously.I did the obvious and dipped the oil it was a little bit low but still between the marks,I topped it up anyway but this has not made a difference it is still in limp mode with the light on.So a.ny help would be most appriecated. Thanks
  24. I was talking to a man today who has just bought a 54 plate td5 gs with 70 something thousand miles on the clock 2 owners from new for £7200 so I think it is worth shopping around to find the right car at the right price.
  25. I have a pair of 24 spline axles sitting on my dads drive if interested it would save a lot of work.
